Electronic Sessions on The Thames Review
What can be said but a massive thank you to the Sullivan boys for what I can only describe as one of the best nights I have been to this year. Electronic Sessions on the Thames was wicked. The music was electrifying and the crowd were superb.

The start of the night was a bit hectic with another boatload of people walking through to another party docked right next to the ES boat. Haha boy did they miss out. After that the boat got under way and people were advised that smoking on the inside decks was not permitted. Being a smoker, I thought this was going to be a problem but instead I felt that everyone was fine with it and simply smoked outside instead. This made the atmosphere inside brilliant as everyone was chatting away and dancing.

I first was downstairs to catch the first part of Morks set

This was the competition winner for ES and I have to say his tunes were a great way to start the night off in style. Mork’s music were a wicked warm-up for the night with deep, funky beats. I had a listen to his mix CD and for those who haven’t heard it go to www.morkdj.com, click on the music tab / it’s called Prodisco. So have listen and be impressed.

After that I went upstairs to see Chris Salt for a little bit. I have seen Chris play before and his tunes are always crowd driven and I always find myself dancing all over the place when I see him play…..nice one Chris, you can check out his productions and find out more at www.chrissalt.com

I then popped up on deck, to take in some of the sight and met some of the Electronic Session other followers, who I have to say are one of the best crowds I have had the pleasure of meeting. Everyone was great to talk to and friendly all night.

Back on the lower deck, Fucha Elektronics was spinning a nice sounding progressive set, making full use of the CDJ1000’s effects in his fluid mixing style.

Next up was one of the ES residents, Lizzie Curious…..who always has the crowd rocking and bouncing all over the place when she plays and tonight was no exception, with people downstairs dancing right at the front of the decks to her bass driven, uplifting house tunes.

Next up was probably for me the best DJ of the night that was Jamie Wadman from Brighton. His tunes were explosive, his mixing was wicked and he was really energetic behind the decks. The tunes were bass pumping, with phat beats and some cheeky reworks of some classics thrown in. I loved it. Jamies tunes kept me right on the dancefloor and the crowd really loved every minute of it, he had a firm following from Brighton on the boat who really got into the party! I would definitely like to see this DJ @ Electronic Sessions again.

I ran back upstairs to catch some of Andy Moore’s set….the music was so good in both rooms I wished I could be in two places at once!

Head honcho at AVA records, Andy’s set did not disappoint, with fantastic, pumping trance which myself and the crowd were really enjoying. I recommend you check out his website www.andymoor.com.

Finally after much chatting and a few more drinks, I thought I’d stay upstairs and catch Orkidea. All I can say about this DJ is…. Wicked! I thought I’d would have run out of steam by this time, but wow, this DJs tunes were soul shaking, driving trance at its very finest. For someone relatively new to trance (having always been into my house), ElectronicSessions are providing me with a fantastic education into trance music and I’m loving every minute of it.

All in all, I loved this night. It was one of the best nights this year for me. The crowd were friendly, the DJs were all amazing and being on a boat made it extra special.
A big thank you goes out to the Sullivans who without them and the ES crew this night would not have been possible. So please keep doing what you are doing guys we love your parties so much.

The next boat party is on the 4th Aug so make sure you get your tickets before they sell out!
