The great British Summer has been exactly that so far this year, hitting us with each of the elements throughout, often in the same day. Glorious sunshine combined with whirling winds and showery spells, its nothing if not confusing. Which is why you need a tonic that can appreciate (or avoid) them all, a situation that can divert the harshness when it comes yet fully embrace the finer elements. In the Opulent House & Terrace location they will be crafting a searing soiree that will encompass the summer completely. Boasting London’s only completely outside terrace, the party gives London’s club-goers the chance to bask in the sunshine accompanied by a soundtrack of fine beats and gorgeous house grooves. And should the unexpected yield any unsavoury weather flourishes, two clubrooms boasting superb soundsystems make for the perfect shelter and alternative for the sun-kissed frolics. The Sunglasses theme also allows for London’s house cognoscenti to flash their wayfarers and aviators to devastating effect, looking good whatever the seasons throw our way.

Naturally such an exquisite event deserves only the finest music to accompany proceedings. As ever KM deliver completely, the soundtrack representing everything good and great about the Kinky Malinki manifesto. Headlining is Gordon Edge, spotlighting his internationally renowned trumpet percussion show that will transport a slice of the white isle fresh into London for the evening. Bora Bora regularly calls upon Gordon’s services and with his ready-made balearica receiving a gamut of plaudits from clubland, Kinky Malinki are proud to welcome him back.

On top of this there’s also a slice of house music from two true aficionados of the genre. K-Klass were there right at the beginning, churning out acid grooves in the warehouses and fields in the late eighties and then gate crashing the pop charts with their epochal ‘Rhythm is a Mystery’ single in 1991. Since then they’ve been at the forefront of house, positioning themselves at the avant-garde of the scene. And Kiss FM’s Steve Smart is also in the game, bringing his steel edged funk to the forefront and ensuring the party is bumping from the off.
