There has been more speculation as to where Fiction is heading than there has been over the identity of our gay scene’s infamous blogger – Complete Whore. Well, you can knock the speculation on the head because we’re here to tell you where we’re going.

This venue is soaked in clubbing history, it’s sat in WC1, and for a lot of people was the birthplace ‘pumping club culture’ as we know it. From the infamous Troll, to Pete Wardman’s Sherbert, and then more recently the long running Dirty Dishes! What was the SOUNDSHAFT is now THE ISLAND, and on 27th July it will become Fiction’s new home. We’re taking Fiction back to its roots, it’ll be a more intimate affair, so cast your minds back to when it started at the Cross...long before those extra arches were opened, and you’ll get our drift. The venue itself opens on our night, with Fiction of course being its first residency. You won’t have seen the venue before now, that is unless you’re friends with a few pop stars who have private parties there the same week!

Two rooms of funkin’ pumpin’, electronic bliss, set in what we reckon could be one of the coolest new venues in London. Put it this way – we’ve spent the past 4 months deciding where to go, so we reckon we got it right.

The DJS come in the form of some firm Fiction favourites, and a sprinkle of new tried and tested talent.

On rotation is Room 1:
Kellilicious, Lora, Luke Hope, Mark Westhenry, Nick Tcherniak, Simon Hunter & Guests.

Serving up the infamous Fiction house in Room 2 are the collective talents of:
Guy Williams, Justin Ballard, Malcolm Duffy, Nick “Bodyrox” Bridges, Kami & Guests.

Doors to Fiction open at 11pm sharp, and we’ll go on till very late! We do advise you make an effort to turn up early as with every launch or re-launch if you like – it promises to be super busy.

Don’t forget Fiction has its own Myspace, which has also undergone major surgery! We’ll be announcing weekly line-ups there, as well as giving you the chance to win tickets and one of many brand new Blue Cube memberships! The address is www.myspace.com/clubfiction

Until Friday 27th July – Keep it Real and Keep it Funkin!
