Colour, glamour and nocturnal debauchery!
The Kidology brand has been a mainstay in the spine of London's partying throughout 2007. It has grown into an even bigger fiend for 2008 with new venues about to be taken over…

Having had its main HQ at the now defunct Cross, this is one party that a simple venue closure was too big to taint let alone shut down. So the party monster that is Kidology has spread its wings and will now be setting up shop at various venues this year including Pacha and Clapham's The White House, which has already had a taste but it is with the big re-launch in the heart of central London- at The Island where it’ll really get hands on.

Recently re-skinned and refitted The Island makes for a wonderful and intimate Kidology reunion one that is shared at all events but quite reminiscent of The Cross. This wasn't an attempt at recreation or nostalgia (it’s only been a month people!) but something with the same creed and code as the Kidology of yesterday - the arches, the warm and friendly crowd etcetera.

On the menu this evening, there was nothing lacking in quality from the Kidology vinyl pushers: Seamus Haji headlined to an expectant and hungry crowd with Mr. Kidology himself- Mark Wilkinson of Dab Hands association, and Jon White and Eddie Kid on the billing too. Laying down the musical law in the Dark Arch were the Like Minded People DJs with the wonderful Rachel Barton, Adam K and Dillon Koenig strictly doing the business.

As the night started and continued to flow, the crowd’s vibe was boosted by the speaker-popping tunes and the Kidette hostesses ensured the banter was on the same par as the inflatables did their round trip through the club and the punters.

The Island is a great venue to break it down with its intimate setting. The newly refurbished spark added to the night’s success as the crowd congregated in the main room right through to the back room complete with podium pole! There’s also a great vantage point from the balcony within the upstairs area.

Certainly a great comeback for the New Year and dripping with promise, Kidology welcome back.
