Somewhere launch night @ Island Friday March 14th 2008 Room 1 Mr C Ricky Cox & Carl Woodward Room 2 hosted by Shoo CNTRST The Julietes ( dj set ) DYD?D.J's Frankie D ( Electrogogo ) Burlesque performance art from Sapphira Australian born Sapphira aka Priscilla Tonkin is a belly dancer, burlesque artist and singer/songwriter having spent time in the studio with a range of high profile names such as Audiofly, Meat Katie, Dab Hands, Cass and Paolo Mojo. When she's not hard at work writing top lines or dance music of her own, she is around town shaking her tail feather as a well known burlesque performer. She has been filmed for Smirnoff’s Electric Cabaret, performed on Red TV’s Talent Showcase on Sky, featured at the UK’s largest burlesque event, the London Burlesque Festival, dances regularly in London’s West End theatre district and has been invited as a special guest star at high profile shows. Under the banner of burlesque, Sapphira combines all her creative talents and she draws on her roots as a jazz singer, classically trained pianist and cabaret show girl. Her routines are fresh, saucy and comical. From fan dancing to tassle twirling, she delights in delighting her audience with something new and scintillating every time.
