Music : Soulful House, Deep House and US House

Next up on the Need2Soul roster is Osunlade, the messiah of ancestral house music. After two amazing live performances at Cargo and Neighbourhood here is a chance to see one of his formidable dj sets, in the intimate surroundings of The Key.

Easily one of the most gifted DJ's and producers of soul/funk-influenced deep house, Osunlade -- an ordained priest in the African religion of Ifa -- graces everything he touches with spiritual, uplifting vibes. Since starting out, he has leant his talents to records by Musiq, Patti LaBelle, Najee, India Arie, and Eric Benet. In 1999, Osunlade established the Yoruba label and began releasing deep house productions of his own while cultivating new artists. For his first album, 2001's Paradigm, the producer hooked up with the UK's Soul Jazz label. It quickly became one of the biggest house albums that year, and he was dubbed the messiah of ancestral house music.

Supporting him will be Southport resident Collin Patterson, fresh from touring the world supporting Amp Fiddler and Tortured Soul, and our trusted resident Rap Saunders.

The Key, Lazer Road, Goods Yard, off York Way, Kings Cross, London N1.
10pm-6am £8 before 11pm, £12 thereafter. £8 in advance from: www.ticketweb.co.uk
