Deep house legend Robert Owen's 3rd date at new residency- discerning dance lovers' favourite underground club, THE KEY. As the name suggests, it's a much deeper affair than his previous residency, JOURNEYS, across the road at Egg. Expect proper deep house, disco and deep electronica. As for The Key: intimate, low ceilings, immense sound system, pinball machine, and the piece de resistance: the 'ultimate disco magnet' that is the illuminated Saturday Night Fever style dancefloor. In the heart of Kings Cross:-) The first few line-ups have been attracting a top crowd, with Morgan Geist, Charles Webster, Jamie Odell, Atjazz, and Motorcity Soul among the special guests.

Room 1:

LARRY HEARD
ROBERT OWENS

Larry Heard (born 1960) is widely known for the Chicago house music he produced in the mid '80s and continues to produce today. His smooth production style with soulful vocals and long instrumental passages that de-emphasized percussion spearheaded the subgenre known as deep house. One of his first releases was a collaboration with Robert Owens, released under the group name "Fingers Inc." The song "Mystery of Love" instantly became a classic hit, rising to #10 on the Billboard Dance charts. Tonight the pair join forces.

Room 2:
CHRIS WOODWARD (Buzzin' Fly)
PADDY (Universal Vibes)
DAN FOAT (Phonica)

Completing the line up in Room Two is Dan Foat (Phonica Records/ K7/ Om/ Rekids), London based DJ, A&R Consultant, producer & writer. With a recent string of gigs & partners to his name, taking in Sonar, Glastonbury, Faith, Lovebox, AKA, he also starts a new bands night at Notting Hill Arts Club- THAT. Cutting his teeth as ressie at Bristol's Fruity Antics, Dan was the only house DJ invited onto the 2006 BBC Radio 1xtra tour, and is kept busy producing his own tracks and a radio show for Phonica, with the much loved Ryan Shaw. Expect an eclectic mix of the freshest underground house & nu disco.

Joining him is renowned Buzzin' Fly ressie, Chris Woodward. A discerner of deep electronic house, and a purveyor of the kind of ‘minimal- maximal’ grooves that labels such as Buzzin’ Fly have championed, he is never afraid to stray off the beaten track, maintaining a freestyle approach that has seen him booked for gigs all over Europe.

With them is Paddy from Universal Vibes, whose output includes tracks picked up by labels such as Metalheadz (Hidden Agenda) and SOUR/Emotif (Elements of Noize), and who boasts a string of well recieved festival dates, including a legendary Sunday evening set at Bestival and appearances at Secret Garden, Bloom and Chibuku's Lake of Stars Festival in Malawi. As well as the more straight up 4/4 electronic stuff, Paddy dabbles in hip hop, broken beats, deep house, nu jazz and latin flavours; this is music for losing it, late nights and dark sweaty dancefloors.
