NIEDERFLUR LIVE [M_nus]
Inspired by the U-Bahn, the subway system that runs through their city, they at first have captured the essence and ambience of its sterile, sleek structures in the form of forcefully tapping beats and an array of clicks, creaks, and distant voices. Not to forget the deep Sine-basses, that are unleashed in every track. Richie Hawtin called them basslines from hell, meaning the hidden force that lies underneath them. NIEDERFLUR gets a strikingly maximized amount out of the few elements at the producers' disposal. The 4/4 beats are stripped down to the essence, making it easier for the listener to get lost in the maze of textures and sounds that endlessly emanate. Recently released tracks on minus´ MIN2MAX compilation Vol.1 + 2 show clearly a strong development in NIEDERFLUR´s sound from the strict early musical concept to a more open way of interpreting the minimal-sound of today their way.

LE CHIC [Int. Deejay Gigolo]
This year they were invited by DJHell to play at the well known Sonar closing party that he organizes "Hell & friends." The very next day the Gigolo capo told them: "Ladies, I would love you to join the family". .It cannot be said that Susana and Rebeca have a background that is consistent with being musicians - one a customising fashion designer and the other a geneticist - not exactly a typical start to a career in music. But they have always shared a great passion for it since before meeting as students in Madrid where they had weekend jobs in the city's club scene. Immediately recognising their strong similarities they became best of friends. Their degrees were almost complete and after years of enjoying so many DJ's sets it was time to try a more direct approach to the music they love. With more time on their hands they decided that they should be the DJ. Why not? As soon as they collected enough records they started playing very informally at small events around the city: fashion clothing stores; private parties; expositions etc. They have just finished their mixcd for GigoloRecords, to be released in Sept07, which will allow them to share their particular view of electronic music. LEcHIC PLAY TECHNO, MINIMAL OR ACID. OLD OR NEW. THEY ARE ALWAYS OPEN TO CHANGING THEIR STYLE SUBTLY TO REFLECT WHAT EACH CROWD WOULD ENJOY THE MOST. BUT WHETHER IT´S SOFTER, MORE UPLIFTING, SLOWER, HARDER, DARKER OR FASTER IT IS ALWAYS LE CHIC.

MISC. LIVE [Kompakt & Sender]
The name misc. says it all: Christopher Bleckmann and Hannes Wenner do not accept too many genre boundaries in their music. The string of releases shows their variety from the homelistening techouse album ( in between/ resopal ) in 2003 to the strictly floor-slamming minimal-techno longplayer in 2004 ( crunch time /sender ). 12es from Force Tracks to Speicher/ Kompakt Extra give a further impression of what misc. is about. Well known artists like Depeche Mode, Dominik Eulberg or Savas Pascalidis have put trust in misc.´s talent for outstanding remixes. There are few essentials that can be found in every single misc. release: one will always find a good bassline, some nice emotional content and intelligent arrangements in all the tracks. The sound is crystal clear and and said to be somewhat hyperpresent both on record and in the club. Speaking of clubs: misc. have also the reputation being one of the best rocking minimal-techno live-acts around. Playing in clubs all over Europe, they´ re always pushing the crowds to their limit with sets that vary every night.

SHACKLETON LIVE [Crosstown Rebels & Skull Disco]
Shackleton's maverick take on big basslines and complex beats doesn't fit into easy categories and that's how it's going to stay. Shackleton has been carving out his own brand of eclecticism on Skull Disco releases so far with intricate, snaking percussion, hypnotic melodies, seriously deep bass lines and dubwise sensibilities. Being remix buy Ricardo Villolobus & Exercise One with support from Richie Hawtin he's definately one to watch.

NICK CRADDOCK [Sud]
Nick Craddock grew up in the North of England and began DJing in the mid to late 90s, taking initial influence from some of the Harder Techno DJs of that time - Dave Clarke, Surgeon, Claude Young, Richie Hawtin and Jeff Mills were key figures. Originally from an Indie background, though always with a ravenous appetite for music, he connected with the energy of Techno before learning to appreciate the subtler lure of House music. Clubs like Back to Basics, The Orbit, Voodoo and Bugged Out helped sew the first seeds of an electronic music education, and provided the impetus to have a go himself.

APPLEBLIM [FWD>> & Skull Disco]
Appleblim's bass line fury has been unleashed on many a dancefloor, including the legendary FWD>> club, where he plays regularly, with devastating results. Appleblim's productions meanwhile get deeper and more developed as he goes along, with his latest release on Skull Disco, Vansan, winning plaudits right across the board and being sure to cement his reputation as a top drawer producer as well as DJ.

LUMP [Rrygular]
Somewhere between North Finland and its border with Lapland, home to vast space, iridescent landscapes, and ice, comes Arttu Snellman aka Lump. As a teenager in the late eighties Arttu was struck, like any budding techie confined by many months of cold and darkness , by the new electronic sounds coming out of the US and UK (perhaps also the motivators: Finish brethren Vladislav Delay and the pioneering Sahko recordings).
Profound love for acid house and emerging bleep techno forced the acquisition of turntables, relocation to Helsinki and a DJ career interrupted by mandatory Finnish military service. 5 days later he was discharged for" mental reasons".
