There are many elements that come together to make La Vita such a success, one of those important factors is without doubt the dedication and experties of our residents. These individuals not only appear week in week out for La Vita in an attempt to raise funds for the charity but they also work incredibly hard in their individual DJ careers to keep the cutting edge underground music that makes the La Vita crowd return time and time again.

MEET THE RESIDENTS...Miss Divine, Adam S, Jon Allegro & Davey C

What was your first word as a child?

MD - Juice
AS - Mum of course, cant forget that old bird!
JA - Mumma! Yep I'm a mummys boy
DC - Ga Ga Goo Goo. Not much different from now!

For all of the people who are looking forward to La Vita but haven’t had the pleasure of hearing one of your sets yet, how would you describe your style?

MD - Gospel Tech Driving House
AS - Bumpey Groovey Tech whilst keeping it Housey all the way!
JA - Good Groovey Party House. I love to fidget, jack and get my afro on! I try not pigeon hole myself genre wise & just make sure my sets are fun!
DC - Drving Vocal Uplifting House

Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone and what was the conversation about? Be honest, don’t make something up to make yourself look good or more normal...

MD - My mum asking me to get her some fags
AS - My dad to get on his private healthcare for an embaressing operation...I say no more
JA - My mum. It was about nothing in particular just to say "Hello" as I was out early this morning!
DC - To my mate, sorting out this weekends events

I know all of you guys are massively looking forward to playing on the 13th March but who are you most looking forward to hearing play?

MD - Harry Pearce playing in his flip flops, I might steal them because apparently he cant play without them.
AS - All the La Vita Ibiza reasidents who rocked it throughout summer and Simon Dunmore
JA - Miss Divine & Simon Dunmore. I’m a massive Defected fan and really don’t get the chance to reach Defected events outside of Ibiza so will be nice to hear some fresh Defected dubs!
DC - Can't wait for this and with such a wkd line up it's a tough one! Having Simon Dunmore there is going be amazing as only ever heard him in Ibiza and not being biased but Miss Divine always delivers so looking forward to that

Adam and Sam, I know you have both been in the studio recently. Adam, you have had great success with you recent track “Go Deep” being signed to Mark Knights, Toolroom label. What is on the horizon production wise for both of you?

MD - Well I’m pushing hard for a Defected release but I know this wont happen for a long time yet so right now im learning everything I can when I get in the studio and im having loads of fun doing it
AS - Im currently working on a new EP of which the title track "whats occuring" has been licensed to the next Toolroom Knights compilation which im really happy about..I've also just finished another track "rekluse" which I'm very happy with and will be with you shortly.

With over £19,000 raised for Breakthrough over the last 2 years, why do you think La Vita parties have been so successful in the UK & Ibiza. You can say YOURSELF if you wish...

MD - It’s a great cause and its something that touches home to most people.. Its surprising how many people I know that the disease has affected.. My uncle right now has Prostate cancer that’s why this year we are raising awareness for that as well.. We couldn’t do it without the help of friends so from the bottom of my heart I thank all the DJ’s and people involved with La Vita
AS - Due to the party being all about the music and atmosphere, everone who attends is there for a good time and to help a good cause
JA - I think it’s because everybody shows their full support as it’s for no-one person’s personal gain. Everybody understands La Vita as a brand and it’s genuinely a team effort.
DC - Myself!!! haha! No, I think La Vita parties have been and are still so successful because it is for a great cause helping people and making a difference. All the La Vita DJ's are 100% committed to the night and the cause and are always trying to make the next one better than the last and of cause the crowd make the night with their loyal following because without them it wouldn’t work.

How does it feel knowing that you are making a huge difference in so many people’s lives?

MD - It’s a great satisfaction to give something back, every DJ earns good money form their profession so its really satisfying that I can contribute to a charity
AS - It's awesome and being able to do it through music is amazing
JA - It’s great to know that La Vita is making such a big difference.... My Dad & Nan have both had Cancer so it’s my way of thanking the people that helped them through the hours of radio therapy & surgery.
DC - Cancer has effected people very close to me so to be able to be involved in something that is making a difference and helping people means a lot to me and I'm very happy to be part of it.

If you had to come back in another life as an animal, what would it be and why?

MD - A cat because all they do is eat, sleep and gets loads of love
AS - Probably a koala they don't do much do they ? just chill..
JA - A penguin! They don’t seem to mind the cold & snow.
DC - A dog, you get looked after, fed, everyone wants to play with you and you don't have to work!

What is the worst gig you have ever played at and why?

MD - Ive played so many over the years, the main reason they are rubbish is because of the set up either the decks breaking or the monitors not working.. Luckily, I haven’t played a crap gig for ages.
AS - In Barnsley on new years eve of few years ago now the auxillary cable was held onto the mixer using a pack of cigerettes and the music kept cutting out lol
JA - Oh god, it was at a club called Purple E3 I played b2b with a good friend of mine and we just had no understanding of what the other wanted to do.... a real train wreck of a set... The funniest part was the “I don’t think we should play together anymore" conversation after the set... It was many many years ago now and I’m pleased to say we have since rocked Dance floors in London & Ibiza.
DC - Ha there's been a few! I remember one when I first started playing for some dodgy promoter in Brixton. I got there and there about five people there! NICE!

Have you got your pink outfits ready for the 2nd Birthday Extravaganza?

MD - I should win a prize for the best sunglasses.. Watch this space
AS - Still indecisive of what to wear any thoughts?
JA - Not yet but the spandex is calling me.
DC - Yep got myself a nice pretty pink dress!!! haha!
