I would avoid the Rose Pub, especially if you are considering making a reservation for a group. First this venue screwed up the reservation by failing to comprehend what had and had not been said in making the booking. When this led us to head elsewhere, I waited outside on the pavement to tell latecomers who for our group that we were moving elsewhere. As I was outside on the pavement, an employee of the Rose Pub, who seemed mentally unstable at best, came outside and threatened me with violence if I continued to be present on the same side of the rose as his pub. The combination of incompetence of the staff and their antisocial behaviour demonstrates, in my humble opinion, that you're taking quite a risk to trust anyone in this venue to do anything to a reasonable standard.
