The legendary annual summer boat party
So, that was alright, wasn't it?

I mean, overall.... Actually, I always new it was going to be a corker from a few weeks out. I was in All Saints doing a shop, as you do, and I tried on this blazer which seemed perfect for a boat party. Only problem was, it was a bit small and it had £160 on the tag. I ummed and argggggghhhd (see what I did there?) for a bit and then put it back - it was the last one and didn't think £160 on a jacket that was probably a one-off wear was a good idea. I put it back though on the sale rail...asked the assistant if it was actually in the sale and bugger me it was £30. Bonza.

Right, so with Sailor-esque blazer, all tickets sold out and everyone in the right place at the right time it was just a question of getting everyone on board and having a good time - what did you think?

The boat filled up to just under the permitted 600 mark and it wasn't long before Euan and Janette had many a bum moving. You know what? I think we've got 2 of the best up and coming DJs around in those 2... It's really refreshing to see DJs carve out their own style but yet have the flexibility to play at any point in the night.

The rest of the boat was pretty much as we hoped really... IT WENT OFF! Kid Kenobi's set was a proper mash up of everything funky whilst The Freestylers just rinsed it. Both brilliant in their individual ways and we're not surprised that the main room stayed rammed all night!

We have this saying at Platform 12, "It's all about the after party". So, after a sneaky taxi to The Rhythm Factory (whilst most braved the rain and walked) it was time to properly get down. Faith SFX's beatbox was quite possibly the most remarkable thing I've ever witnessed (HOW?), The Freestylers rinsed it some more and we got to play the kind a set that we have been talking about ever since the hot weather kicked in.

WE HAD A BLAST AND HOPE YOU DID TOO!!!

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, THANKS FOR COMING AND THANKS FOR BEING APART OF WHAT WE WOULD BET IS THE BEST CROWD IN CLUBLAND!!!

What can I say?? It was an absolutely amazing night!!

My first ever boat party in London and it absolutely blew me away! Kid Kenobi and the Freestlers rocked and the vibe onboard was so electric...everyone was there to have a great time...and we certainly did that! A really friendly and down to earth bunch of fellow partygoers! The Rhythm Factory didn't disappoint either! I don't think I've danced that much in a VERY long time!

Thanks Clive and crew for putting on yet another brilliant night!

GIDDY UP!

A big hurray for us all who made this the best night of the year! The friendly atmosphere of all us partiers united by music and the drive to just dance dance dance on the best party boat of london made this my fave event I've ever been too. So many times I found myself gazing around the room with a huge smile plastered on my face looking at the happy gurners around me. No photos could capture these moments, you had to be on that level!

Clive, please organized another soon!!! =) There's no way I can go home before another one so I think I'm gonna have to stay in London a bit longer, boat party is reason enough for me!

Thanks so much all who organized, you guys are legends!

Yes yes Clive, did have an amazing time as has come to be expected from the P12 crew, got far too drunk but fuck it. Janette kicked us off and had me bouncing early on, always love her unique style and tune selection, Freestylers rinsed it big time too, first time I've heard them play out and thouroughly enjoyed. Even a bit of D&B at the after partae which took me back big time. Would compliment the beat boxer as heard great things but have a huge blank spot in the middle of the night :0/

Respects as always guys

Brilliant! Had an absolute blast! Apart from the fact we actually had to get off the boat and got too impatient waiting in line at the Rythym Factory and left... it was awesome! Can't wait till the next one!

Clive! You and Leo rocked big time..... loved you set although was constantly running between the two rooms on the boat to get the most of you and the freestylers!!!

Totally agree that Janette and Euan are ace and hope to hear/see much more of them in the future!!!

Also getting warmed up for the Key on the 29th Sept, as that will be a brilliant precursor to the night i am playing the day after on the 30th!!!

To use a "dirk digglerism" "You are a star, a bright bright shining star!"

Yeah great night guys - and to the staff on the boat who looked after my hand! (Cut my hand on top deck on glass which was left broken, but they were ace!) Thanks to Leo, for which I'm sure he won't remember?! Great party, as usual.
