When one thinks of the 80’s colourful eccentric fashion, cheesy iconic films and cocaine come to mind. More importantly, from a music perspective, the synthesiser was born and regularly used as the core of Electro pop. In many respects the sound of the synthesiser was as distinctive, if not more than the iconic events of the decade, which in reflection seems to blend into one, distant amazing memory- I hope you agree!

From a personal standpoint, I am truly grateful to the Gods that I was lucky enough to grow up in this amazing era, where many of our clubbing musical tastes have been moulded by the music we listened to as kids.

The so-called current Electro era that has taken the dance world by storm is largely thanks to the synthetically induced Electro pop era of the 80s. In addition to the musical influences, in recent years have you noticed massive return of 80s colours and clothes in marketing and fashion? Just wait for the leather jacket craze to return next month…….

Having said that, personally I would refrain from going to a strictly 80s night. My passion for modern house and Electro music is far too strong, and I would therefore choose them over 80s every time. However, the mixture of the two would make a perfect cocktail for the most . And what better way than to relive your youth, but through a party celebrating of both modern and 80’s electro!

On the last Friday night of 2007 LOVE STORY is 1988 not 2008, bringing you a one-off action packed evening of 80's influenced funky, uplifting, dirty and Electro house for a charismatic and beautiful crowd who know what a real party is.
