After the success of our "RIO CALLING" launch party at Pacha on friday May 23rd LOVE-TEC host another one off special party to celebrate the
great "Rio Carnival", this time at South London's trendiest venue "THE WHITE HOUSE".
In line with this expect a very samba-esque
soundtrack. Including Brazillian drums, techno and carnival house!

So get guys and girls get dressed up and make an effort for this very

Well, I guess I'd better shed some light on this for all of you guys....

Although it IS a bit distressing to see all this promoting malarkey aired on a public forum!!!

Right, I'll begin at the beginning!!!

Chris LP, as you know, has been in the Land of Oz for ages and hasn't had a DJing gig for a wee while - despite his fucking great talents and amazing presence. This pissed me off a lot because I just felt that Oz wasn't giving Chris the opportunity he deserved. We know he rocks and what he's capable of.

I was hoping to see Chris spin again for Love-tec in England when he returned in late July/early Aug. But, Love-tec announced that there wouldn't be another L.T event in June or July.

So, we'd guess that the next one would be in mid-August, which would be too late for Chris.

I really wanted to see Chris spin back on these shores, both as a DJ and as a close friend. So, as a good-will gesture, I asked Chris if he would like a gig, playing for Shiva at The Island on Saturday the 26th of July. In the main room. Back-to-back with me. (Something we'd never done before).

Chris said yes and we were on.

I told Shiva that because there wasn't a Love-tec on in July, that all us Love-tec'ers would, hopefully, be up for a trip to The Island for a homecoming / welcome back gig for Chris and Candice. I wanted to show Shiva what us Love-tec'ers were capable of and what a great crowd we have.

Two Love-tec DJs going back-to-back at The Island in the main room - seemed like a good idea to me....

But then, completely unbeknown to me, out of nowhere Love-tec announce a night at The Whitehouse in July. And, on the night before Shiva.

So, a bloomin' spanner's been thrown in the works!!!

Chris is booked to play for Shiva on the Saturday and so can't play on the Friday.

I'd made special plans for him for the Saturday and I don't want them to go to waste.....

I hope that clears things up for everyone.

And, I hope you'll all be able to make a weekend of it and come to Love-tec on the Friday and Shiva on the Saturday. Two great clubbing families gettin' royally-messed on an epic mid-Summer's weekend together!!!

Anyway no one can force Chris not to play here or there.

Kay, Shiva aren't 'being like anything'. This is not about numbers or crowd-pulling.

here here, no need for it and just have a good time but every industry has politics involved one way or another....have a good one & keep partying!

IT'S NOT SHIVA WHATSOEVER!!!! No one has any right to say anything bad about Shiva because they've done nothing wrong and quite frankly probably have no idea even about this thread.

In all honesty, I'm deleting all my comments, I'd suggest you all do the same, otherwise this is going to make no sense whatsoever.

See you all next month. Shiva will be our official "welcome back party", if there has to be an 'official' one, but we will be attending Love-Tec as well, so we'll see everyone either here or there!

I have to say it's bad form to publicley air thoughts here - should have stayed with in the love-tec head domain - whats done is done so never mind. I have stated I'm just glad to be back and thankfull for peoples thought, being considered for gigs etc.

Agreed! Shiva are are doing thier own thing like love-tec so it's not about who is pulling power here or loyalty for that matter. On that note I will simply say I will be attending love-tec and might spin a tune or two with Conti however going on the info both Muzz and I had and out of respect for the fact Muzzs' concern was for mine and Candices' well being whilst over on the short time we have, doing what we love doing spinning house music. I think my choosing to play a few tunes or not should go unannounced on posts. There is no official party as such I just want to enjoy the short time I have with friends and I'm thankfull for Sols open offer! This is all a simple missunderstanding and an unfortunate timing. Obviousley a lack of communication and a few aspects in the matter taken for granted! There is no ill will to any party...............

So to wrap it up - Lets Party.!!!!!!!!!........... I may well just get messy with you all. I have'nt mixed in so long I'm afraid I might embarress myself amongst this top line we have up anyway lol

Ok well the comments made it sound like Shiva was not letting Chris play love-tec. My apologises to Shiva..

Maybe ppl should think what they write so it doesnt come across the wrong way to other people, like me, who then get the impression Shiva are being shit when they are not.
