As the weeks already seem to be flying by, The Gallery steps up a gear on Friday 19th January with the first of many exclusive London sets from the legendary Dutchman – Ferry Corsten. The World No. 6 DJ had another immensely successful 2006, with the release of his ‘L.E.F’ album – picking up from where its predecessor ‘Right of Way’ left off. Having pretty much spear-headed the first wave of Dutch producers in the late 90s and that unstoppable euphoric trance sound, these days Ferry’s sound has progressed to hooky rock influences into his forward-thinking electro-trance fusion. Having made his production name under various guises such as System F, Moonman, Gouryella and Veracocha, Ferry is very much his own man these days. He’s recently collaborated with hip hop guru, Guru (!) on a reworking of his classic ‘Punk’ smash and remains one of the most popular DJs on the circuit. For his first Gallery outing of the year, Ferry will be spinning a special 4 Hour Set with main room support from Spanish superstar Abel Ramos and The Gallery’s weekly resident of joy – Gavyn Mytchel. Warm up dude Harry Brown has the honours of getting the night on its way.

Over in T2, the Going Places crew dust themselves down as they roll out their first “Adventure in International House Music” for the New Year with a ‘Best of British – UK Residents Special’. The clue’s in the title here as GP resident Tania von Pear welcomes two resident spinners from two of the UK’s hottest house clubs. Step forward twisted house mafioso Tristan Da Cuhna from Leeds’ BacktoBasics and underground don, Dave Mills from Cool House over in Cardiff. Finally in T3, monthly hosts Kinetec are back in town to rinse out ‘proper techno, played properly’. For their first bash of the year they invite Carl Cox’s label Intec Records along for the ride featuring label manager Jon Rundell. Not to be outdone, Kinetec have their own crew on hand, with DJs Dave Randall, James Kinetec and Thermobee setting the pace. Your spoilt for choice this week folks!
