Love is in the air at Turnmills on Saturday 9th February as SMARTIE PARTIE host their annual ‘love in’ with their Valentine’s Ball. Its snogs all-round as the SP clan will be getting you hornier than a threesome with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie!!
The dancefloor will typically be smelling of roses (well, possibly!) as the headline DJs keep the mood all loved-up and smiley!! Leading the charge will be old fave PAUL JACKSON. The man behind such club bangers as ‘Blockbuster’ and some top draw mix compilations on Underwater Records… Jacko isone of the UK’s most consistent DJ/Producers of the past 5 years. The party starter has made a real name for himself down at SMARTIE PARTIE too and this will be first set of 2008, following 4 incredible performances last year. The SP faithful have certainly made Paul one of their all-time faves and his silky tech-house skills will no doubt no some more serious dancefloor damage this time round. Next up is DAVID HERRERA, resident at Salvacion – the busiest party at El Divino for the last 3 years and also resident for Home Club at Privilege. David made his SP debut last summer and totally blew everyone away with his CD trickery... after all; he ain’t an Ibiza resident for nothing!! Completing this wonderful hat-trick will be SP regular and Bora Bora resident, ALEX MILES. The cult beach venue may have had an indifferent 2007, but with Alex behind the decks when the club was open you know it was going off, big time!! And that’s exactly what you can expect from Alex at Turnmills, as he graces the decks for the first time this year also. As in tradition, SMARTIE PARTIE’s awesome residents CARLOS FRANCISCO and MATTY WELLS will be spinning their own special brand of house bombs, alongside Ramone, who finally gets his chance to shine with his main room debut. As ever, live percussion & FX is provided by legendary promoter TRACE HARRIS, plus the gorgeous SP Dancers will undoubtedly get plenty of hearts racing with their long legs and saucy dance routines. Oh-er missus!!
Next door in T2, the crowd will be bouncing away to the funkiest of house classics with DJs HUCKLEBERRY FINN, DANNY DOVE, Chris Biscuit and Jaxon taking to the controls, whilst club crew Licked host the beats in Room 4. Room 6 is all about the jackin’ side of house featuring Craig Rock, Charlie Cantanka, Miles Weaver, Rob Mason & Funky-Toast on the decks, plus if it all gets a little too much, head on over to the Cinema Lounge for some calming Chill-Out vibes (and then head back to the main room for more of Paul Jackson!!!)
