Me n sassy were debating wether to go to original old skool@factory in vauxhall or smartie party@turnmills.

im so glad we chose turnmills,as this was only my second time at turnmills and a very hazy memory of the 1st time,i couldnt remember what it was like,that changed when i walked round the corner on to turnmill street,and the big smartie partie logo beamed on to the wall opposite,thats when i rememberd...this is the rave where u can have a cuppa tea(1 memory of the first sp,and u no i still didnt have one)anyway....

We see Trace(MR SMARTIE PARTY HIMSELF)and didnt want to be rude and shout out to him so waited to catch up inside,hes a pucka fella and boy does he no how to bash the bongos,i watched him for 5 mins nearly,i thought when i was learnin how to mix it was hard...geez
well we dont really no anyone at the turnmills do but what a crowd the smartie partie crowd we see 1 person we was meetin down there Hullaballo....(HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATE) alex the loon with the blue wig,dj marcus and his girlfreind lucy and loadsa others who i cant remember

well we wanderd around the club lookin for the toilets and the cloakroom that took fuckin ages then went round to the djs the ones we met were wicked posin 4 the cameras and stuff...tarts haha you love it but we were waitin for our good freind the one and only godfather of house the legend...Huckleberry"if the his arms were needles hed be a human deck)Finn,sorry mate still buzzin from the nite before and im writtin this as it enters my head.lol

walkin around we came across the lazers in the main room i think it was any way
i couldnt remember the lazers in the first 1 we went to its so funny what lazers can to when mixed with 1500 ravers and a bit of class a lol nutters........ pucka tho

we went to hucks room for his set and he didnt disapoint classic huck,totally mental
then up after him was Chris biscuit.
i must apologise it wasnt until after that i see it was u on,ive herd ur name so many times but never said hello,topo set tho(i was the fella in the black jumper smiling and head noddin to yours and hucks set)
couldnt do much else as it was totally rammed but smile and it shows your enjoyin it.

sassy mentioned when we went for a chillout in the licked room that she had snapped a few djs and couldnt remember the names only Jason...
so i said was it chancer at all? yeah thats him.again herd his name for ages and had to introduce ourselves hes been on dsi commentin on stuff and things wicked bloke
there set was the best set i think they had the room rockin,i mean plaster fallin off the ceilin rockin the whole licked room was bangin start to finish and the crowd loved it,and its cos they were interacting with the crowd thruout.wicked totally fuckin brilliant,and a pleasure to meet u both.

So as it goes for our second smartie partie,we had the best nite so far of 2008,and will definatlly be there on the 8thy march for the FAREWELL TO TURNMILLS party and for anyone readin this and planns on goin,trust its gonna be a road block get there early.it was rammed by about 11.30.

id just like to say even tho ive only been twice i no sp at turnmills and turnmills itself has alot of history,and this the end of an era
thanx to Trace(mr Smartie party) the sp dancers,bar staff,andeveryone else whoi made our nites nice and safe ones.
and we will definatlly see u down at scala in april.

The-andy-pollards; was so good to meet u guys, hope ur both alrite after the madness on sat! What a night indeed, we absolutely loved it as we always do at SP. I was also blown away the first time i went to SP (my debut set was exactly a year ago - Feb 2007, so what an anniversary we had!) - such a special crowd, real clubbers, real people. No ego's! Exactly what i look for with our lot too.

Thanks for such nice comments in yr 'review' guys - we never expect any praise, so when it comes it really does mean a lot, so i know i speak on behalf of the other Licked guys (Drew and Rob) when i say thanks! And with it being our last ever Turnmills LICKED party (but not the last Licked!), everything meant even more to us - we were just amazed and chuffed at how it all went. The guys deserve it after all their hard work, rob works his bollox off doing the decor and our clubbers are the loveliest lot u'll ever meet (and thats why they fit in so well with the SP faithful, who are exactly the same). So on a personal note, we couldnt have asked for a better send-off for Licked, as we say "goodbye turnmills". Really enjoyed my set and all our djs did so well - thank you everyone. We'll have a review up a little later anyway but just wanted to say thanks to you guys for the nice words and to Trace and Claire for everything once again.

Well what a show and what a night! - the crowd were awesome and really up for the night.

There was a special feel in the air that we were making history and that made it all the more personal!

I have never enjoyed a night at Smartie Partie @ TURNMILLS so much, it was truely something, and equally amazing to be part of.
Big shout to every single individual in the legendary venue, just goes to show how important a night like that is.

The LICKED room looked absolutly amazing, Well done Jas, Rob and Drew, cannot thankyou enough for the oppertunity you gave me to play and I hope you enjoyed it as much as me, if not more.

THAT NIGHT WAS ONE HECK OF A ROLLER COASTER RIDE, AND I WAS GLAD TO BE PART OF IT!!!!
