This is a daytime event (e.g. starts late morning or early afternoon - see below for times).

The organisers have already put together a stellar cast that includes the best-ever drivers from Formula 1, World Rallying, World Touring Cars and the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Seven-times F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher was the first big name to be announced for this year’s event, and his rivals will include four-times World Rally Champion Sébastien Loeb, eight-times Le Mans 24 Hours winner Tom Kristensen, triple World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx, and even double World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss. Twice a DTM champion, Mattias Ekström, who won The Race of Champions for the past two years, will also return.

As well as The Race of Champions, where drivers go head-to-head in knockout competition until only one is left, Wembley will also host the ROC Nations Cup, where competitors fight in pairs for the pride of their country.

Being the host, Britain gets twice the chance to win the Nations Cup and the first squad – Team Autosport Great Britain – will feature WTCC Champion Priaulx, plus Honda F1 Racing star Jenson Button. At the time of going to press, organisers were staying tight-lipped on who would drive for the second team – Team F1 Racing Great Britain.

Adult tickets cost from just £18 and child tickets from £9 through the website (raceofchampions.com
