D-Railed Proudly Presents....
Friday 13th March
10pm-4am
@ Rapture Club
For eight years in the 90's, Ian M, the Leicester prodigy played a central role in the success of the most important after-hours club in British dance music history, Trade, the most influential hard music club! After several years performing in his hometown towards the end of the eighties, Ian first got his break when Trade offered him a slot on a tour to Birmingham. The residency which followed at Trade's home in London, gave him the challenge of playing after the great Tony De Vit, which he pulled off week after week.
Career highlights to follow would include playing to 250 000 at the Love Parade in Leeds, teaming up with Danny Tenaglia at Twilo in New York and headlining Dance Valley in Amsterdam alongside Carl Cox! Residencys followed, around the biggest clubs in the country including Sundissential, Insomniacz, Storm, Twist, Fuel and Insekt and his dynamic DJ sets took him worldwide, to places like France, Hong Kong, Ibiza, Japan, Australia and more.
Production side, Ian's releases were more of an event, than just a new record released. Like the acclaimed 'Crazy Pills' and classics like his remix of 'Black Is Black' singles 'Annihilation' and 'The Dreamer' along with releases on labels such as React, Tripoli Trax, Elasticman, OVD, Kaktai and Mohawk. He also compiled and mixed the biggest selling volume of the Trade album series as well as compilations for Tidy, Fevah and Torture Garden.
Ian M is one of the most respected and influential artists of the Hard Generation, and it gives D-Railed great pleasure in welcoming him to the Rapture, for what will be our best hour yet!
Daley started mixing at the age of 13. After 4 years of dedication and an ever-developing desire to put himself to the test - Daley felt he was ready to show everyone what he could do.
Legendary Mansfield based nightspot Ten gave Daley his first taste of action. After a few months of playing one-off sets upstairs in the Hard House room - Daley was offered residency, playing predominantly the infamous Progress Tour nights that attracted sell-out crowds.
In 2002, after playing regularly for several local nights such as Hotdog and Fixation, Daley was given the chance to show what he could do at Storm @ the Emporium in Coalville. By January 2003 he was awarded residency, by then promoter Nick Lunn. Daley has played alongside the world's top hard house DJ's and live acts, during his marathon residency at the Emporium. While he and Garbo achieved the unprecedented acclaim of winning back to back awards for best large club at the hard dance awards.
On the production side of things, Daley has released tracks that have received acclaim throughout the scene, and been at the front of record bags for some of hard house’s biggest players like Lisa Lashes and BK. ‘Go Bezerk’ a collaboration with Alex Claver, featured on 3 Lisa Lashes compilations. That is just the tip of the iceberg.
In February 2006, with regular bookings at the world's finest hard dance nights, such as Tidy Weekenders (9 in total), Frantic and Sundissential - Daley was awarded the coveted 'BEST RESIDENT' golden glowstick at the Hard Dance Awards. 2007-08 carried on this ever-growing momentum, featuring Daley's first tour of Ibiza in July and scores of weekly bookings across the UK's best hard dance nights. Including an appearance at Gatecrasher’s Summer Sound System, and Tidy Ibiza! The coming years look just as exciting, and we will get a dose of Daley and welcome him for his D-Railed debut.
Accompanying these two hard house icons, are the stars of the future. Xstatics Ash Preston, Tidy TV legend Shane Tate, Production prodigy Midi Distortion, are joined by D-Railed manager and resident DJ, Danny Lee and Hard House mixmaster Joe Masini, for an absolutely stomping Main Room bosh out!
OFF THE TRACKS takes on another new perspective this month, local trance supremo’s Tom Green, and Matty Morris are on fire at the moment, and March is perfect for a Trance fest, joined by Off The Tracks residents JODJ and Juggy, and guest appearances with Ash Preston and Danny Bass.
