i just arranged a meeting with the promoter!!! love-bug possibly to run the main room with funky house sounds from the hottest DJ's in the region!!! there are quiet a few hurdles to go over as yet as its £100 per ticket, love-bug has to address the issues like sound, decor, DJ's, VJ's, promotion and so on and from wot i have found out so far no day passes for the yocals, and its a FOOKIN BIG ROOM to fill and try pay for all the above expenses, i not gonna do it for the money BUT for the passion for the funky house scene and to spread the word nationally that love-bug nites are not to be missed!!!

i promise thru this thread to keep all ya up to date as i find out more!!!

i think i've got the contact for the soul village weekender, ian mortimer was involved with richard for the first one they did as i played for them but the last i heard it was all being done by kev james. i've got the soulvillage weekender email so'll PM it to you. good luck with this :-) there was a similar story last year with the house room being cancelled at the last moment which was a shame as they had some massive names booked like blaze and frankie feliciano! i was gutted!

gotta have a real good think bout things 2nite as its not as simple as it looks the main room holds 800 BUT they lookin to reduce it to approx 400, which means selling shite load of tickets @ £100 each, when the majority of love-buggers live locally and dont need accomodation!!!
the main issue i have is its onlt 2 weeks away and no love-bug promotion has been done,
no promotional flyers and not much time to fill such a massive venue??????

any feeling please feel free to list them below

got be a ticket for a night, no way £100 for 3 days. maybe negotiate for 1 dayer, a saturday all dayer. or say u will get the djs the decor the visuals and he pays you an hourly rate, mmmm can't see that comming off.

sure you'll see how desparate they are to get some1 in there when it comes to bargaining

Mate, leave it its to risky. Try do it next year for the three days. Book some big name dj's like me and Taylor!!! Lol. You can do a good six months of promotion and it won't interfere to much with your regular nights.

Yeah I reckon Pappy's hit the nail on the head as they say. It all seems too risky to do at such short notice.
If it's left till next year I might even be available to play, lol.
