All true Brits should boycott Phatz Bar until the management realizes that banning Squaddies from entering the bar itself should be a crime. These guys had just attended a service for a fallen comrade; the management should have been buying them a round of drinks, not banning them. It is situation like this that takes my pride in being British away. COME ON THE BRITISH ARMY – THE BEST FIGHTING FORCE ON THIS PLANET!

Read this in the paper today and first thought was "What an absolute disgrace the management here really are!" If Mr Grant Page, as mentioned as being the manager of Phatz Bar in Maidenhead, had lost a family member who had served in a theatre of war, would he have reacted the same??? These serviceman, and i can empathise because as an ex serviceman myself, who has lost comrades in similar situations, deserve to be treated like heroes. Apparently at the Phatz bar, they are not even treated like decent members of society. Protect customer's interests - how about those who protect this country's interests??? Apparently they dont matter. I think Page is an absolute disgrace, i just really hope he never finds himself in a situation where he is denied the chance to fondly remember and respect a fallen friend or colleague. Statements such as the reasoning for denying these uniformed personnel access is basically a load of old nonsense. The uniform is worn with pride - this should be embraced not rejected, and every person should be proud of HM Forces and the job they do in difficult situations. You would expect to encounter hostility in a theatre of war, but not on home soil whilst respectfully mourning a colleagues passing!!!. What an absolute disgrace this man, and i use the term man very loosely, really really is.
