November 7th is the date Maidstone’s Loft gets the Mixmag treatment as the world’s biggest dance music magazine rolls into town with some fine electronic talent in tow.

Trend setting Radio 1 star Zane Lowe headlines this event and brings with him a penchant for any number of electronic styles from dubstep to techno and back again. More Radio 1 stars come in the form of ‘In new music we trust’ residents Jaymo & Andy George (Andy whom you may recognise as the man behind one of last ears biggest jump-up party starting electro tunes ‘Big Dipper’) whilst bass fiends can get their fill from Friction – a d&b talent who’s lit up the genre since early this millennium. He also spent time with BBC Radio at 1Xtra, and runs one of deebee’s best labels in Shogun Audio.

Of course the Mixmag tour residents IAM ONE will be on hand to keep things energetic with their fist pumping tech-house sounds, whilst underground deebee head Kasra rolls out the sort of rhythms that have won him fans all over the world, not to mention on the radio and in the music press. Technicolour completes the line-up.

The Loft has been Maidstone’s leading night light for years having hosted infamous parties and having brought the best of electronica to Kent when no-one else was. Coupling the great venue with the mini festival like production that comes hand-in-hand with any party Mixmag throws, and you’ve the recipe for a real party. Get involved!
