its that time again maidstonians for The Loft Presents... and this time we bring you an extemely talented group of chaps from the depths of dover- THE QUIRK BURGLARS (and friends). These guys are fantastic dj's and producers, having already been picked up by labels such as CLEAN HOUSE, CHUNKY TRAXX and TRENDY MULLET- they certainly know how to write music that makes you shake your ass, and their dj skills are second to none. expect the best house music you've heard for a long time! below is a short biog from their myspace- check out the full page here and make sure you listen to the productions- tight as a ducks arse. "After bringing the sound of "proper" underground house music to the darkest depths of East Kent through their ever growing DROP night the next step towards world domination was always going to be in developing their own production skills, and starting to produce their own shit! Matt and Andy have taken this next step through their QUIRK BURGLARS alter ego and to date they have been very well received by the dancefloor. The Quirk Burglars sound has been influenced and inspired by their love of Chicago boompty boomp and the London tech-house scene, and these influences are apparant on early productions such as Jazzy Skid Marks and Bootyshake. Their sound is unique, fusing smutty funk b lines, quirked up, twisted samples, and layered percussion and cheeky stabs, all underpinned by made for the floor tight ass beats!
