Atomics Reunion is back! That’s right the club that paved the way for Kent’s flourishing electronic scene reunites on
Boxing Day for the 1st time ever at
The Loft for a night of
classic acid house and rave and old skool drum ‘n’ bass.
With past headliners including Mr C, John Kelly, Brockie, Jumpin Jack Frost and Doc Scott we know the standard for the nights guest is constantly being raised but this time we think we’ve outdone ourselves… In the
classic acid house room we welcome the
original rave legends, the masters of the chemical warfare suits and facemasks
Altern-8!! Influenced by Detroit techno artists Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson and early techno heroes Kraftwerk, Altern-8 themselves have influenced many artists, with a mixture of the sounds of the Roland TB-303, 808 and 909. They’ll be making their debut at The Loft to deliver a set full of their anthems that changed the world of dance music forever and rocked the Atomics dancefloor to their very foundations. These include
‘Infiltrate 202’,
‘Hypnotic ST8’,
‘Activ 8’ and
‘E-Vapor-8’. And anyone who witnessed their performance at the Sonar festival in Barcelona this year will testify that these guys are still doing the business on the one’s and two’s. For an excellent video from this gig and a taste of what to expect

In the
old skool drum ’n’ bass room we have put together the strongest lineup seen yet at an Atomics Reunion night. Headlining we have one of the original masters, the king of
AWOL and master at
Metalheadz DJ Randall!! Over the past fifteen years
Randall has held his position at the very top of the d’n’b tree and his sets for Pure Science at Atomics are undoubtedly recognised as amongst the most memorable in the clubs history! Randall will be joined by another legend of the d’n’b game, bad boy
MC Fearless as the duo roll back the years with a set full of classics from the 90’s. Completing the room we’re delighted to welcome original Atomics residents
Dready, DJ Ollie and Richie Weaver with further support from
illistrate, Affinity and Fusion and
MC’s Mastermind and Reborn.
With
Altern-8 in the house alongside a monster d’n’b lineup we have arguably put together the
biggest lineup at The Loft for 2007. We hope you’ll be joining us to remember the good ol’ days and pay homage to the counties greatest ever club.
