Ladies and gentlemen, raver’s and wronguns, its that time again for another instalment of Fling - one of the UK’s fastest growing forward thinking electronic music nights. Over the past 4 months Fling has carved out a reputation in the pavement of Kent for being the most upfront night in the county, and make no mistake people, the next party will only improve on that!

After last months antics, the Fling team were left extremely dazed and confused, after a good 3 days of trying to figure out what actually happened on that fateful weekend of August 4th, we managed to piece together (most) of the evening from what was left of our fragile brains- It seemed that we had hosted, quite possibly one of the most hardcore parties Maidstone has ever seen…

The Loft opened at 10, and our downstairs residents DeepSouthSessions set the mood for what was set to be a legendary party. With the usual deep house vibes they started off the night in style with beautiful rolling basslines and thumping grooves. Once 11 o’clock hit, the main room opened, and an already hyped up crowd rushed upstairs to catch the warm up set with Rachel barton- awesome jackin house got the locals stomping enough to prepare for the headliner, the one and only Annie Mac of Radio One. One o’clock- The club was almost to capacity. As soon as Annie came on the club turned into a sweat-chamber (luckily the trusty CO2 cannon helped out), ravers clawing up the side of the booth in a desperate attempt to get a glimpse of Miss Mac doing what she does best- playing the most eclectic mix of music on the planet. Some musical highlights were classic records such as The Chemical Brothers- Battle Weapon 3 and Rage against the machine- Mr. Oizo Remix. Afer Annie came residents Luke Dzierzek & Nick Liousias who once again delieverd with some of the most devastating techno and house on the planet for the final hour & half, finishing with the classic Funk D’Void – Diabla as the lights came up!

So with a month to go til the next mental Fling party on Oct 6th we are just about ready to unleash the full details... We are hugely honoured and proud to bring you one of the most influencial production/dj outfits of the past 10 years in dance music, the legends that are Matt Watkins & Matt Thomas, aka King Unique! Over the past decade King Unique have been responsible for some of the biggest dancefloor bombs known to man, having done classic remixes of records likes of Underworld – ‘Two Months Off’, Tracy Thorne – ‘Grand Canyon’, Planet Funk – ‘The Switch’, Chable & Bonicci – ‘Ride’, Foremost Poets – ‘Moonraker’, The Kilers – ‘Somebody Told Me’(to name a few), as well as huge original productions like the epic ‘Sugar High’, the driving ‘Flashing Lights’ & the downright filthy ‘2 The Left’, these guys are considered by many to be one of the best producers of underground house music on the planet. Indeed in 2002 King Unique became the first producers ever to get 5 essential new tunes in the space of 5 months, a feet that is yet to be matched! As well as legends in the studio these guys are known throughout clubland for their ability to absolutely smash a dancefloor to pieces with the kind of precision that makes most djs look like pub disc jockeys! The guys have toured the length & breadth of the globe over the past few years, from Tokyo to Buenos Aires, from Sydney to Reykjavik and just about every far flung location you care to mention. We are extremely proud to welcome them to the hollowed turntables at the Loft for what looks set to be the sickest Fling party yet!

As usual Fling residents Luke Dzierzek & Nick Liousias will be there to serve you up some of the sickest music on the planet right now. Luke is fresh from his guest mix on John Digweeds world famous transitions radio show, as well as his remix of Fling Recordings next single Le Noir – ‘Eleny’ getting to number 5 in the buzz chart and receiving support from everyone from Sasha, Eric Prydz, Dave Seaman, Chris Lake, Pete Heller & many many more. Joining Nick & Luke in the main room will be the debut of two highly talented djs from the area who have been gaining a lot of fans of late, we welcome the debut of Dodek & Ali Raise from the Rebe; Beat Faction for some of their trademark wonkyness that absolutely rock the Loft on Oct 6th. Downstairs Fling once again are proud to have Kents most highly respected purveyors of Deep House, Deepsouth Sessions. Residents Nick Carter, Graeme Doyle & Nathan Doe will be rocking the floor all night long with deep tech house and all things groovy for what all round looks set to be one of the best nights of clubbing in Maidstone all year! Get ready for a messy one people, you know the score, its gona be sick!
