We are set to go for the next Connected event, we are heading back to Revolution Oxford Road in Manchester on the back of the last event which to be fair was a great night.
We are holding a charity event in aid of the British Deaf Association, and with a £2.00 minimum entry price (or however much you wish to donate) you can't go wrong.
Want to know about the BDA....
"The BDA is the largest Deaf organisation in the UK that is run by Deaf people. We represent the Sign Language community, which is united by shared experiences, history and, most importantly, by British Sign Language (BSL).
The BDA wants to see a society where Sign Language users have the same rights, responsibilities, opportunities and quality of life as everyone else. BSL was recognised as an official British language on 18th March 2003, but it still does not have any legal protection. This means that Deaf Sign Language users do not have full access to vital information and services, including education, health and employment. We want to see an end to this.
So, the BDA is campaigning for the legislation of BSL. We are also working to gain the right for all Deaf children to receive bilingual education, using BSL and English, and the right to quality and choice in education.
We want to see an end to discrimination against Sign Language users, both Deaf and hearing."
100% of the door taking will be going to the cause.
Headlining the event is non other than the widely known name Divine Inspiration.
We have all heard of this name right?, if not you've been on another planet!
Here follows the bit of background behind the name for all those who are wondering.............
"Divine Inspiration are sassy vocalist Sarah-Jane Scott, DJ Paul Crawley and studio dudes Lee Robinson and Dave Levin. Paul met Sarah-Jane, a session singer at the time, while he was Djing in Minorca in the late nineties. Producers Dave and Lee met over 13 years ago and have been working together ever since on various projects for both major and independent labels. 'The Way' was originally an instrumental but when Paul introduced Sarah-Jane to the crew they soon asked her to lay a vocal for the track."
Mr Paul Crawley is sure to provide a set of some serious "Beautiful Trance" as he calls it!!!!
We really do not know what to expect from Divine Inspirations set, which is good because we will be clubbers as well as Djs on the night.
Lets get this venue well stocked full of party people for a night of EDM in many forms to suit you lot + you'll be doing your bit for the British Deaf Association too...... Get Connected!
For any local Dj's and further who believe in themselves and want a platform to play out, we encourage you to attend our event and bring your friends, we are approachable people and driven by the music we love.
We want that personal tie to our crowds!
