This new years eve see us take over both floors at Scubar to bring the new year in with style. We're reinforcing the systems on both floors and hauling in some high quality guests to bring in the new year with perhaps the biggest breaks party in the north! Heading up our room with Midnight set we have the one and only Autobots. Our first guests when we opened at the start of the year and when we launched in Scubar it's only fitting we bring back those ever excellent masters of disguise (err and rinsing breakbeat) to help us kick of next year as we mean to go on... by aveing it in a slightly mental fashion! myspace.com Supporting them is Manchester's own Unbalanced Jack. Upstairs taking over the bar and transforming it into another banging room for one night only is the crew from Carry On. A formidable producer and remixer who's built of a catalogue of huge releases over the years we're looking forward to seeing what he's got up his sleve for the year ahead. The Knobjokeys knobjockeys.org Manchester masters of the digital mash up. This trio of musical nutters dice and blend up everything from funk and soul to Dnb to create the ultimate party soundtrack. Regulars spinners over at the club night "Bandwidth" we're letting them lose on the main floor for the final few hours to wring out whatever you've got left in ya! Supported by the Carry On residents Steve Thorpe and Resistance we should just about cover every facet of breakbeat between us! The price for this evening of madness? A bargain 10 +bf in advance or £15 on the door! I've seen pubs charge more than this in some places so we think it's a reasonable price for what is looking to be the Manchester breaks party of the year! On top of this we've got the venue to keep the bar prices at normal cheap prices (we love student venues!!!) So what more could you want for New Years? Reasonably priced clubbing, Reasonably priced drinks and some absolutely top notch beats to jump about too!
