from slow cooking to BOILING! :)
Well the event started off modestly with some quality slow BPM electronica from Caro Snatch. Then Shirokuma came on stage (a Japanese-British group) and played some beautiful pop soul groove that was also very pleasant to the eye as well as the ears! Third on was Caro Snatch again, this time playing her own music live and rapping her poetry on top. Next was Hybrids, an anorthodox combo of a techno DJ (Tanya Payzan) and an opera singer. This had everyone staring mesmerized. The last on the bill was Connectionist, my modest self. As soon as I had put the first tune on, a jungle classic, everyone jumped on their feet and started raving and sceaming till the end of the set! Huge grins and electrifying energy that was reminiscent of a late 70s punk gig! The last tunes were hard and fast techno which didn't put off anyone from getting on with the bouncing around. We all left with a huge grin on our faces, which I still can't get rid of to this day :) Very pleasurable!
