So this is the problem....
You've had your decks for a good while now and you're confident you know what you're doing. You're a legend, a real life - DJ God - in your very own bedroom. You've played at a couple of house parties or had a few gigs and all your mates say your really, really good.....

Whats next?
We understand how extremely tough it is to get a set unless you know the club promoter and he's already got mates of his own. You could set your own night up with tons of expense, good fortune and effort required but with no guarantee of success and so you carry on doing what you love doing, praying for that 1 time lucky break.

Here's the break....
You Enter our 'Search for a Star DJ' competition. You register your details, you play against the other DJ's on the night and the crowd get to vote YOU the WINNER. You progress through the rounds and impress the crowd until you get youself into the FINALS!. You Enter the FINALS, WIN THE COMPETITION with a smile on your face and then....

Ready for this?
You WIN a NEW pair of Pioneer CDJ200's or Technic MK2 1210's.
You WIN a ** DJ CLUB RESIDENCY **
You WIN a 2hr LIVE Radio Show with Studio Training on-hand

And heres the VERY BEST PRIZE of all....
For being that true, No1. Bedroom DJ to SuperStar DJ competition winner you get to play alongside our SPECIAL DJ GUEST!!, A TRUE SUPERSTAR DJ LEGEND!! on our competition winners evening !!

And finally....
You will be invited onto the Blu-Sky team where we'll show you how to throw big, amazing parties, introducing you to a whole new world of people and partying. We'll inspire you to collaborate with other club-events and even assist you in promoting Your very own Night!....

The Rules...
The competiton is OPEN DECKS so Any club-related Genre goes..No CDs or commercial experience req. BUT YOU WILL BE JUDGED UPON....
Tune Selection
Mixing Ability
Crowd Reaction
You will Play on Technics1210s, Denon DNS3500 & Denon Mixer

so you've entered but you want to back out?

to be honest i don't blame you, denons feel nothing like pioneer decks and you are right it takes longer than 30 minutes to get good on them.

seems as though theres a way to go before pioneer rightly claim the right to call themselves industry standard

if you think thats hard then u wanna try using technics 1210 mk2's when you always use stanton t120's, its almost impossible! the technics are so weak its unreal. gotta use what ya given though so up to full fire we go!

no i never entered

i know i was shocked how weak technics were but its a competition so should use the equipment that most people are used to (technics and pioneer) im wondering how people have been put of from entering cause of the denons.

ha ha...I was born and bred on Geminis !!...I must have been wicked in my previous life :-)

Although a competition, its also about fun and getting together in the winter, to collaborate and meet other likeminded DJs and Clubbers just like yourself and we feel this is a great way to invite everybody out and make this happen...

Even if you dont win the competition, it most certainly does not stop there...with the wealth of talent that is on offer it would be damn rude to not create spin-off club-events parties here, there and basically eveywhere, covering the entire spectrum of genre....we dont want talent stopping in just playing at home, confined to playing a few mates parties here and there or indeed stuck to a single bar or club, no, we aim to be different and not only give you guys the chance to shine and win some great prizes but we also aim to open up as many doors as we can for the people, like us, who the industry or other club-events wouldnt normally give a look in......its as simple as that really... with a huge response so far and with the excitement consistently building, its all about having fun, letting go and enjoying the music...we'll look after the rest :-)

im a newmark tt 500 man my self (world record in tork). the 12 10s are a little weak i think but nothing to major. there still cool decks but i think there a little over rated.

im not ass kissin and im not backin down. im just lettin you know what i think. plus i was really really drunk that night. infact i shouldnt have even mixed that night. i was so hamerd. its the first and last time i do that.

the 1210s are like 30 years old! think its about time clubs started installing some newer decks like stanton t120's or newmark tt-x1's. the t120's are far far far superior in every respect over the 1210's. crazy! full fire!!
