Here's the break....

Ready for this?
You WIN a NEW pair of Pioneer CDJ200's or Technic MK2 1210's.

And heres the VERY BEST PRIZE of all....
For being that true, No1. Bedroom DJ to SuperStar DJ competition winner you get to play alongside our SPECIAL DJ GUEST!!, A TRUE SUPERSTAR DJ LEGEND!! on our competition winners evening !!

And finally....
You will be invited onto the Blu-Sky team where we'll show you how to throw big, amazing parties, introducing you to a whole new world of people and partying. We'll inspire you to collaborate with other club-events and even assist you in promoting Your very own Night!....

yeah, my concern is that trance is not the top fave genre, so no matter how good i play or what i do, people will just vote for someone else

thats my concern the more cheesy you play the more votes you will get.
get out the dj sammy tracks and bring on the votes lol

Think about the Sleepy Dragon type people who've never had a chance,or just never made the most of the chances they've been given and would rather sit at home and moan about it!!!!!!!!

luke tell these people to Shut the fuck up and grow some balls for fuck sake put them straight me and you have just fallen out enjoy slagging me of behind my back anyway whoever it is.

not necessarily. it is really up to the crowd, there aren't judges as such so basically if you play a bunch of really underground tracks nobody has ever heard you might not get as many votes.

on the other hand thats no excuse for playing a bunch of cheesy crowd pleasers in the hope you can buy popularity.

clubbers aren't stupid, the best man will win regardless of genre. i'm fairly surprised at how many trance and hard dj's are entering, the chances one of them will win is actually pretty good purely because of weight of numbers.

in short you've got to in it to win it!

exactly! its very simple and its all in good *Fun*. Due to the large amount of talented DJs whom have dared to be different and decided to give it a go - good on em! The level of diversity on offer means that these nights will be different in every way ...we all get to see and hear all this talent in one single room and everybody is looked after. There are no clicks, there are no egos, no attitudes and no negativity, simply put were all in this for the love of music.....so lets get on with it and let the parties commence !!!...standback because every single one of us is going to hear something that we love - music rules - its simple :-)

Have Fun all and Play Hard n'Dirty !!...he he...

What style of music do ya play?

trance, tech trance, techno.

i bet a trance dj wins it techno is abit to unknown you get alot of old trance classics played in pubs and stuff. I would play tech trance and trance

Also just for the record for those people that feel the need to have a dig at me the reason why i fucked up and was pissed of at lukes last night was probably cause of a personal problem im dealing with right now and that is the same reason why im not playing at his next night. So the next person who wants to have a go at me engage your brain its starting to piss me off now i will deal with whats wrong with me and i will DJ again i will be back so dont form opinions on someone u dont even know.
especially YOU JULZDJ1

not many techno dj's in it at the moment so you have a decent chance. you can but try.

seems to me that techno is com,ing back in a big big way, derrick may plays plug tonight in sheffield and theres loads of techno nights starting.

for the record if i were a judge a trance dj wouldn't win it. i hate trance!

we're aiming for at least 30 mins each, that depends on how many people enter.

i don't know if i mentioned this before but djs of similar genres will compete against each other, so a bunch of trance dj's will play against each other so the crowd that night will be a trance crowd and will know whos best. its not like you'll get trance djs against a soulful house dj because the genres are so different nnobody could really judge it fairly.

don't try to read too much into it or second guess the rules or make assumptions. there is no predetermined winner or genre. every dj is on an equal footing. also if the winner plays a genre unlike our very special guest we will get a guest in at a later date who is of a more similar style or we will use our contacts to put you on at a night where you can play on the same bill as similar dj's

Guys, let`s give BluSky the credit they deserve for doing this, at a lot of expense too ans well as work, let`s leave our moans for the places who churn out cheesey filth in our towns, try coming to Chesterfield where last night OAPs and scrubbers descended en masse to queue for half an hour for a venue they know is making them queue to look busy but still do it every week to listen to the cutting vibe of Belinda Carlisle twice every hour!

We`ve got the Competition posters up and they got a lot of interest, believe me I didn`t know BluSky until lat year and there are no preconceptions, they are there to make friends as well as throw huge parties! So give it a go. They played a huge part in getting Chesterfield DJs together last year and this year, instead of all the backbiting that was going on before, so give it a go and may the best DJ win!

Right then guys - every Superstar Dj gets to play at least 45mins !!

The juding will be done both by the crowd and to make things even more fair we have.....

On the panel we have - A Music Producer, a DJ & Record Shop Owner and a very special surprise guest so every one has an extremely very fair chance to shine, play their music and do what they love doing best ...playing to a welcoming crowd !!! :-)
