Weekender presents
Mayhem!

Sunday 13th April

After the Success of our first party at Onyx we are proud to present!

Nu Breed (the hugely successful radio program broadcast on the Galaxy Network in the UK, and syndicated worldwide) has just started a record label to give a platform for Britain’s finest unsigned, unheard and underground music.

The radio show was launched on Galaxy by UK DJs Riley & Durrant back in 2004 and has helped launch the careers of some of the hottest new names in dance music. DJs and producers as diverse as Sonny Wharton, the Trophy Twins and Adam Sheridan got their first airtime on Nu Breed, and an anything goes music policy of house, techno, electro, minimal, hard dance, trance and drum n bass has seen massive audiences tuning in each week. A syndicated Nu Breed Global version of show is also broadcast on various worldwide stations.. from Canada to Dubai.

Nu Breed Music was launched in June 2007, its run by Nick Riley and Andi Durrant to push new and exciting electronic music via digital downloads and CD.

Nick Riley explains: "We’ve been getting sent so much great unsigned music for the radio show that we decided to set up a label to release it. Every month we get mountains of incredibly well produced tracks from bedroom producers and people who haven’t had that elusive first break. We know from our own experience that when you start out it’s difficult to get your music into the hands of the right DJs and record labels. People send their stuff to us because they know we’ll listen to it, and get it straight on the radio if it’s good enough.”

Like the radio show and Riley & Durrant’s DJ sets, Nu Breed music will be a cross-genre label without a strict music policy.

Look out for the first release by Mark Maitland & Alex Farrier – Newcastle’s finest new talent. "The Test" has a filthy Riley & Durrant mix (their first since finishing their debut artist album) and a remix by ultra-skilled young producer Future Disciple.
