Natalie Chua and The Ficelles

Natalie Chua is a classical vocalist from Milton Keynes who has previously achieved international success with Angelis, who received a platinum disc for album sales of over 500,000 in 2007. Natalie has recently been performing all over the UK, America, Canada and the Far East and has developed a healthy following of fans with her distinct, powerful but moving voice.

A project will start this summer to put a group of young female musicians together with Natalie that will form The FICELLES. The aim is to create a group that combines an exceptional vocal talent with a fantastic sounding live group, to produce a professionally choreographed stage show which will perform at a variety of high profile local venues before touring UK theatres and similar venues. The group will complete live and studio recordings, radio and press interviews and be showcased to record labels and music industry personel later in the year with the view of securing a recording contract. The group will be fully managed from the audition stage.

Concept:

Natalie Chua and The Ficelles will be a live performance and recording group of 8 female classical musicians with a female vocalist. The style of music will be classical/rock crossover, producing a spectacle stage show with full choreography, lighting and sound. The group will be producing music that makes classical music assesible to a very wide audience, specifically the younger generation by combining all aspects of modern performance with the quality of musicianship developed through classical training. The concept will be to combine the two great genres of rock and classical.

This fully managed project is being put together to produce a group that will be showcased to the music industry with a view to secure a recording contract.

Schedule:

AUDITIONS will be held at the Holiday Inn Central Milton Keynes on Sunday June 21st between 10.00 am and 5.00.pm.

Audition Requirements:
Females aged between 16-20.
Strings, woodwind percussion and piano.
Able to play to a minimum grade 8 standard
One set piece and one piece of musician’s choice

All successful auditionees will be signed to a full management contract in regards to the group ‘Natalie Chua and The Ficelles’ and will receive payments from any live performances that attract a fee as well as a share from record sales, merchandise sales and any other income generated from the groups activities.

REHEARSALS
A four week rehearsal schedule is set to commence in early July. Rehearsals will be daily between 10.00am and 5pm Monday to Friday. During these rehearsals, along with formulating the sound, a professional stylist and choreographer will be working with the group to achieve the required image of the group.

PHOTO SHOOT
A full professional photo shoot is scheduled for Mid July to produce media ready images for the group along with artwork for the website, posters, merchandise and promotional material

VIDEO SHOOT
A full professional video shoot is scheduled for the end of July which will provide a show reel for the group for use in the industry showcase and promotional purposes.

RADIO & PRESS INTERVIEWS
Press and promotion will commence at the end of July, publishing the groups upcoming live performances, events and gigs.
