When I was asked by DJ Yoda to perform at his legendary Spread Love club night in London it was an honour that I couldnt pass up. A short while later Yoda featured me in his 'Rising Stars of UK Hip Hop' article in IDJ magazine again showing support. Basically I knew I owed him one.
So when I had the opportunity to run my own night here in sunny MK I felt the time was right to return the favour and reach out to the scratch master from the Dagobah system.
Yoda has now become somewhat of a superstar in the DJ world headling festivals with Basement Jax, Mr Scruff and Lilly Allen and doing a legendary mix for Pete Tong's essential selection. Hes also developed a following scratching DVD's at the iMax Cinema in his 'Yoda goes to the Movies' show.
So heres the deal, DJ Yoda will be performing live for the first time ever in MK on December 1st in the Snozone downstairs bar area of Xscape and we can expect an amazing performance.
I dont think anyone has ever been let down by a DJ Yoda set and I know we can create a welcoming vibe to show him that MK has got a little bit of soul and grit and some discerning music lovers who appeciate quality music.
At the DJ Format night in September a large number of you showed support for what we are doing at Xscapeology / Sno Storm and to be honest I'm proud to bring something different to MK.
With your continued support I know we can create some wicked nights and great memories in MK.
