I think the above photo says it all.... Saturday 24th March 2007 and Cuba showed why it is the premier weekly venue for Newbury's growing house scene.

KOTG were the hosts for the night and like always featured a familiar line up in the form of Alber, Neil and Dan, Paul Robbins, Big Hag and James Walsh. This eclectic range of DJ's provided everything from Hip Hop, Breaks and DnB (Hag) to the most cutting edge funky house (Neil and Dan) and all those genres in between.

By 10pm it was one in - one out on the door and the queue was growing, for those of us lucky enough to be inside we danced, sweated, drank and danced some more, urged by the constant four to the floor oozing from the superb sound systems installed by the owners at Cuba. Small DOES NOT mean ineffective. Ask anyone who was lucky enough to get into this event - in Cuba you FEEL the music as much as hear it...

Highlight of the night was the opening number of Neil and Dan - Born Slippy 2007, the crowd loved it and it presented us with a serious issue.. how can it get any better than this? Well it did.. and by the end of the night, it was just as full as it had been at its peak, a definate sign of a truly well organised night.

KOTG and Cuba dont charge for admission, they should... coz this was a night worth paying for.

A big well done to all those at KOTG and Cuba.
