Class act, crap place
Wow still recovering from Friday! Anne Savage totally ramped it with shedloads of excellent trancey tracks (after a bit of a slow start from Richard Tulip I thought). As for Lisa Lashes, well mind-blowing as always! Tune of the night gotta be Lisa & Anne's remix of Olive - 'You're not alone' surely?! BAM BAM BAM!!! Oh yessss!

But is it just me who hates Digital? Bucketfuls of smashed glass all over the dancefloor, no bottled drinks except beer, draconian security, lager louts barging around, and what's the deal with the mini-me sized water bottles?

But a top night was definitely had despite the venue!

Its not the venue mate its the night, dont really get any of those problems at digital on a sat night for shindig...apart from the water of course ;)

Anne Savage would like to pass on her thanks for friday night.

She told me that the digital crowd was the best she has played to in the past six month.

despite the venue

we must be doing something right being no.15 in dj mag top 100.

I'm not the only one then, cheers Morla. Yeah was a great night, glad Anne enjoyed it too as she was wicked. But hope Digital get it sorted out, not been to Evolve before but been to Shindig and Retro there and thought exactly the same thing. They could learn a lot from other similar sized clubs around the UK and even from smaller places e.g. Cosmic which has got it spot on in my opinion despite being pint-sized

Is that not because its voted for by the DJs, and the DJ box is amazing? I dont think it would get so high if it was voted for by the clubbers. Just my opinion of course!

just thought i'd mention here a thread that was going a while ago in the shindig forum..
it was about ppl's memories of foundation & i guess it inevitably got into comparing the 2 venues...

i believe that a lot of constructive comments were made in that thread about how digital might be improved as a venue...
wonderin if u guys who don't like it might have some ideas about how it could be made better, cos it has this capacity to attract quality dj's and the crowd is generally pretty sound...

haha the sound system in digital is wicked. And I do like that it's a really dark and dingey club. Love it when they smoke the room upstairs out. Have fond memories of been lost up there.

he has a point about the glass and drinks. My feet were aching when I went to see Luciano from the ammount of glass on the floor. I didnt get cut, but it was so bloody uncomfortable dancing on all the glass.

The bar could do with a bit more variety. Usually at the end of the night im too shitfaced to handle lager, and could do with an alcopop or something non alcoholic other than coke... I do know alcopops are little common and might not fit into digitals image. But be imaginative, there's bound to be something.

I think the bottles of water are a perfect size. Can fit them in your pockets!

Regardless of digital being 15, it still has room to improve. and like stated it's voted by the DJs which is based on the hospitality of management and the setup. Its more the top 20 clubs they've WORKED at. Not the top 20 for a night out. I am chuffed a club from Newcastle is in there though!

I was really hacked off when they lost TWO of my jackets and only gave me 70 quid in return for them.

Not trying to slate the club that much. I know nowhere is perfect and I think you do a lot right.

the glass on the floor's an issue 4 sure.. but that's the fault of the inconsiderate folks that just drop their bottles wherever they happen to land.. symptom of humanity generally.. look at the state of the fuckin planet.. but there must be an answer somewhere cos i doubt those ppl are gonna change their ways..

yeah the broken glass can be annoying, but its the same everywhere....except maybe Singapore maybe we should all hit Zouk ;)

Its still a lot better than Foundation for broken glass, cans etc and I think it would be pretty impossible to have some poor girl/boy try to sweep the dancefloor in full swing.

I think the only thing to do is give people a 10p refund for empties lol, just like when we were kids, well the old gits like me anyway ;)

You have any ideas of what the playlist was?

Could put a glass/bottle bin next to/behind one of the speakers, meanin its out of the way and ppl don't have to stray far to dispose of it
