Ok guys…it’s only a week to go. Hope you’ve booked your Friday off after Conscious Monkeys to recover from what we hope to be an amazing music and dance experience bringing you some of the finest psytrance, world music, reggae, psydub and also some progressive beats.

We are a new psytrance and the only psytrance night at the moment in Newcastle so do come along to support and play in what will hopefully be a bright future for Conscious Monkeys events here.

Starting at 9pm at the Cooperage, The Quayside, Newcastle and finishing at 2am we have promised a night to remember with great music, beautiful psydecor, poi dancers and jugglers, stalls and of course a fantastical happy vibe brought by all.

Tickets are on the door £5 before 10:30pm +NUS/DSS and £6 afterwards.

The Plexus are:
KARL THOMPSON - Words and gibberish
Karl is one sixth of Newcastle's infamous Poetry Vandals, co-director of New Word Order and award winning performance poet. He's had his work published many times in various anthologies, magazines, pamphlets and on line. Along with Scott Tyrrell, he's twice taken the team prize at The City of Culture 2008 poetry slam (Bristol 2002 and Belfast 2004). He's performed extensively through out the UK and in Europe and has appeared at many festivals including The Prague Fringe Festival and Newcastle Green Festival among others. 'The Plexus' is his newest venture, combining his words with the massive musical talent that is:

RALPH STOKES - Music, guitars/effects and noise
Ralph is an up and coming music producer, musician and party head. His musical styles range from ambient dub through to psytrance, waving hello at rock on the way. Ralph has appeared at Newcastle Green festival and other local events and gigs. He's studying music production and life's little pleasures as well as working on a number of other projects with a number of other people and doesn't like talking about himself all that much.

Rob Shamanik (Psybernetix) is also a member of The Plexus.

(amazing female DJ artist from the Ukraine and living in Newcastle playing "Grime, Dubstep and Experimental Electronica)
