PROTEUS (FINRG, Hard House Academy)

Proteus is without a doubt Finland’s most well known hard dance DJ and has become one of the key players on the global hard dance scene. Djing for the best part of12 years and producing music for about the last 7, Proteus and friends have been key figures in creating the harder dance scene in Finland, belonging to the famous Finnish artist and label collective “FINRG”
Twice voted “Best Hard dance dj in the world” by clubbers all around the globe: Proteus has played and headlined most of the major events in Europe and Australia, including the likes of Dance Valley, Gods Kitchen Global Gathering, Creamfields, Impulz, Defcon 1, StreetParade Zurich, Ground Zero, Sonic, Transmission Sydney, Frantic, Storm, Polysexual & Hard House Academy.
Having played for DETOX at both the 6th birthday event in May 2007 and the Freaky Dancing versus DETOX University event in October 2007, it is with great pleasure that we welcome back one of our favourite dj’s to have graced the decks at DETOX

RODI STYLE (Tidy Weekender, Storm, Polysexual)

Rodi Style is quite simply the hottest talent to have hit the hard dance seen in the last few years. Forget the rule book on “how to dj” and “beat mixing”, this dj has to be seen to be believed. Mixing with his feet, elbows and anything else you can care to imagine, coupled with infectious & energetic driving dj sets it’s not difficult to see how Rodi received “Best new face 2008” at this years hard dance awards.
His attention to detail and the ability to craft a unique turntablist influenced set has propelled him into becoming one of the most in demand Hard Dance DJs on the circuit. As a producer, he has released over 50 singles on well recognized labels such as Tidy Trax, Vicious Circle, Toolbox Recordings and Flashpoint Records with tracks obtaining spots in the top 10 regularly.
Rodi's sets combine smooth mixing, scratching, audio manipulation (through the use of FX and CDJ trickery) combined with his signature brand of no nonsense Hard House. Consistent DJ sets and unique performances have seen Rodi Style billed at the award winning Storm and Cyberkitten, the legendary Tidy Weekender, Global Gathering, Creamfields and Coloursfest.
Following his barnstorming North East debut at DETOX – IN ? Dependence back in July and his amazing jaw dropping set at Kiddstock’08 in August this is only the 3rd time he has played in the North East.
