Festival frenzy for Bestival and T In The Park

BBC Radio 1's Rob da Bank was given a shock yesterday when news spread that Bestival 2009 has sold out two- months early.

The brains behind Bestival said, "I’m quite speechless selling out 8 weeks before Bestival actually fires off into Space. Its testament to our amazing and very loyal crowd that we've achieved this in a tricky old year for festies, so roll on September and thanks for selling us out."

Those who are lucky enough to have tickets can look forward to sets from Massive Attack, Kraftwerk and Elbow plus appearances from the likes MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Seasick Steve, Klaxons, Lily Allen, Soulwax and August front cover star, La Roux + more. Give yourself a pat on the back Rob!

News that Glade Festival and Secret Garden Party have both sold out was also received recently. For those missing out, here’s some good news for you. The first big names for T In The Park 2010 are out and there’s already a limited bunch of tickets up for grabs at 2009 prices. Remember it’s the early bird that catches the worm kids.
