At midday the last few tickets for Bestival go back on sale. Bestival HQ tell us: " After selling out for the fourth year in a row a while back, we have some super news for those who missed out first time around as we have a limited allocation of ticket returns for this year’s Bestival … available for you to buy today – but be quick!" "These few returned tickets are now up for grabs from midday today (18th August) - through Bestival.net and Ticketline (0844 888 4410) so get your dialling and clicking fingers limbered up and make sure you get in there first so you can join us on the 11th, 12th and 13th of September in the picturesque surrounds of our smashing redesigned site at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight."
BBC Radio 1's Rob da Bank was given a shock yesterday when news spread that Bestival 2009 has sold out two- months early. The brains behind Bestival said, "I’m quite speechless selling out 8 weeks before Bestival actually fires off into Space. Its testament to our amazing and very loyal crowd that we've achieved this in a tricky old year for festies, so roll on September and thanks for selling us out." Those who are lucky enough to have tickets can look forward to sets from Massive Attack, Kraftwerk and Elbow plus appearances from the likes MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Seasick Steve, Klaxons, Lily Allen, Soulwax and August front cover star, La Roux + more. Give yourself a pat on the back Rob! News that Glade Festival and Secret Garden Party have both sold out was also received recently. For those missing out, here’s some good news for you. The first big names for T In The Park 2010 are out and there’s already a limited bunch of tickets up for grabs at 2009 prices. Remember it’s the early bird that catches the worm kids.
With previous outings from Annie Mac, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis and The Cuban Brothers, Sunday Best’s sublime A-Z series, which sees artists gather together 26 tracks, running the full length of the alphabet in order, returns on September 1st with a very special edition to celebrate all that is Bestival 2008.
Line-up announced including Greco-Roman Sound System featuring Hot Chip, Annie Nightingale and Justin Robertson Having stormed Rockness and The Big Chill festivals, the Rizla Arena is heading to Bestival on the Isle of Wight with a line-up that promises to shake 30,000 fancy dressed revellers to their core.
Whats you will get to enjoy at this years bestivals, the arenas the bands and much much more........
