Harddance with a bit of Hardcore thrown in
An excellent night, good entertainment well worth the £5 they wanted for door tax, Tonight was the second time in 24 hours that i was in this particular club, Tonight was an amazing night, Banging music from start to finish, And some great Mc'in thrown in for good measure, ABYSS was the 1st to play tonight, So he had to arrive at the venue ontime, and i got him there with 10 mins to spare, ABYSS played the TECHNIC decks wicked. The only thing missing was a wicked laser show, that would have topped the night off nicely, Tonight i didnt get playlists off anyone as trying to find a pen was murder, so like i said no playlist, but still ABYSS was very good on the decks, A great selection of tunes he played. The club filled up at a steady pace, The drinks were flowing and the place was getting merrier, On the decks after ABYSS was 'let's av it' MOGZ-eeee He played some mean HARDDANCE and TECHNO, And played with the mixer while doing his copywrited wiggle, The TECHNO aint my cup of tea but slowly i am getting to like it, He had the speakers rumbling with the tunes he was banging out, The whole of his set was excellent, MOGZ-E was getting right into it, the more beer consumed the better he was getting, I just wish i had a tracklist for this set, but not to worry you can be sure that the tracks were of good quality and the mixing was great to, only 1 problem MOGZ-E had and that was the system packing in for 5 minutes, This i have been informed by MOGZ-E was down to the fire alarm, but all was sorted in a couple of minutes, And the music continued for the rest of the night without a hitch, EXCEPT for the 1 speaker that was rumbling, But i didnot notice this until about 3am, when things went a bit nutty, I may not have the DJ's in order, But not to worry, I'll put the HARDDANCE dj's 1st followed by the HARDCORE dj's, If i remember rightly DJ ALEX KIDD was on the decks next, This DJ is 1 of my favourite DJ's, and 'didnt he do well' the majority of his tunes were his own tunes, and he was trying them out for the 1st time on this 'up for it' crowd, He was a mad man on the decks, Before he actually got on the decks he moved a few things around in the DJ box because he wasnot comfortable with how things were laid out, and the other reason is the nutter likes to jump around and climb up on anything so he can shout and scream at the crowd, The crowd that were there thoroughly enjoyed every god damn second of the set, He is a class player on the decks, He has the crowd going mental, I just stand there taking in the view of everyone going off BIGTIME, I should say they were all mentally disturbed by the awesome tracks he was spinning, i do my usual thing and take a few photos while all the DJ's are playing, i watch a bit of the TV, yes i did say TV, it had the DJ's on it while they were playing on the decks, and there is another TV/MONITOR in the backroom so you can keep an eye on the proceedings while sitting down taking it easy, Another HARDDANCE dj that played tonight was the youngster KRYS KROS (showing my age now aint i) another mean player on the decks, Many top tunes were being spun by KRYS, Yet again another awesome set to remember, Not 1 problem as he was making his way through his set, So JOB done, and he was off the decks and straight to the bar to get some acohol refreshing liquid, and that is where he remained for the duration of the night, On after KRYS was SUICIDE DJ and BARNO, they were playing some mean HARDCORE tunes, SUICIDE DJ played 1st, Then it was down to BARNO to finish off the set, The floor was full until the very end of the night, The HARDCORE massive were out in force tonight, a bunch of right RAVERS, the pace of the music was picking up quite nicely now, i could say SUICIDE and BARNO were getting everyone ready for hyperspeed mode, In no time atall they seemed to be finishing their set, Time was flying now, i hate that when you really enjoy the night it goes to quick, After these 2 was DJ PIKEY, i think he finished the night off but i could be wrong, tonight PIKEY was accompanied on the mic by Mc WOTSEE, WOTSEE had a beer in 1 hand and the mic in the other, He was reeling off sentance after sentance, it was a bit quick for my old ears to absorb, but soon enough i was right into the Mc'in again, I will say i have been listening to some excellent HARDCORE this lastweek courtesy of HARDCORE EXTREME, and i'm getting the taste for it again, The balloons were selling well allnight, along with the beer, everyone was dancing, even the barstaff were having a dance, It was great to see everyone turn out for this event, It was well worth coming to NEWPORT for the 2nd time in 2 days, The venue is quite cool, I liked the decor in there. it was black, nice and shady looking, I did not see 1 bit of trouble in there allnight, which was good to see, If you hear of HARDCORE EVOLUTION being in town again, get your ass down there, you wont be disappointed, brilliant DJ's and top music from start to finish, Obviously everyone enjoyed the whole of the night, As i didnot hear not 1 person say anything negative about tonights presentation, so i would assume the night was exactly what they wanted, So a BIG welldone to the HARDCORE EVOLUTION team for putting this event together, and thanks to THE COTTON CLUB for having them there, Tonight was only possible because they offered the venue up as a replacement venue due to the previous club being out of action, So thanks to them, thanks to the DJ's for playing, and thanks to all you madhead clubbers for making the night what it was AMAZING.. and ROLL ON the REAL DEAL on the 10th of FEB, so see ya all there, If you aint going there, You miss out on loads of cracking DJ's with plenty of top music.

...........so this has been me (THE-DARKSIDE) with the event review for the 27th January 2007....CIAO FOR NOW.....get ready for the weekend....because it will soon be here

only 1 problem MOGZ-E had and that was the system packing in for 5 minutes, Luckily enough the ICEman was there to sort the problem out

mate it was the fire alarm that cut the system. ice man didnt need to sort anything out, when the alarm stops it goes back on.

ice was sorting the monitor for alex kidd mate, it wasnt working all night.
