OCTOBER 12th COLLISION PROUDLY PRESENTS TIM SHERIDAN

Prior to his recent success Tim has been a jobbing musician, record producer, occasional actor and journalist. Playing records is the one constant that has spanned his 22 YEAR stint at entertaining the public. The UTAH SIANTS gave Tim his first break in the industry in the 80's. He returned to Leeds in '97 to set up KISS FM for the whole North of England and fought the aggressive take over by Galaxy FM every inch of the way. Later his band DOPE SMUGGLAZ were a KLF type attack on the music industry gaining major chart success and a joyous TOP OF THE POPS television appearance. His period at London uber-club HOME was a lesson in being a weekly Superclub resident. When the bubble burst after the millenium, rather than be brought down with the industry dip, he simply re-located to the heart of the Global scene in Ibiza and continued to work.

MANUMISSION, the world's biggest club, asked Tim to spearhead a new music policy to aid their flagging credibility and he duly made a splash hosting the Music Box and introducing electro to Ibiza in 2002. When he left Manumision he took with him his new partner SMOKIN' JO to form his idealistic ultra concept NASTYDIRTYSEXMUSIC, a free weekly beach party. Together he and Jo initiated a new sub genre, revived the free party scene and became Ibiza's hottest property in a matter of months. Swiftly snapped up by SPACE and the WE LOVE team, Tim was making waves with Smokin' Jo weekly on the island and doing free parties and gigs worldwide under the NASTYDIRTY banner. Eventually after shopping NASTYDIRTYSEXMUSIC to every London venue he was pleasantly shocked to find MINISTRY OF SOUND to be the most interested and proceeded to revive their joint fortunes with occasional but huge gigs, soon becoming the Capital's most talked about night as Time Out's No 1 critic's choice for each event.

Ever the non-conformist, Tim has embarked on yet another ground breaking idea, to make the ultimate London afterhours at TURNMILLS on Sundays. VERYVERYVERYWRONGINDEED or VVVWI has expanded to feature in Ibiza and across the UK as one of the hottest new dance brands to encompass Minimal, Tech and Techno. More recently Tim has ben asked by PAUL OAKENFOLD to join him in HOLLYWOOD! Tim is an Associate Producer and Writer for several new film projects, being the sole author of the screenplays and is involved in the definitive television documentary of our scene.

He was on 12.30 and was wicked, showing loads of energy despite no-one being there. i would have stayed till the end but all my mates were dragging me out. Tim is a legend, its a shame it was so dead, but to be fair the whole of Newport was fucking dead, like a ghost town!

it shocked me tbh honest...was expecting it to be like a can of sardines in there, shame as tim is the daddy and it proved it, by what happened with the shenanigans after he s'pose to finish his set.

i heard he ended up playing b2b for another 2 hours with 1 of the ressies whilst enjoying a beer or 10....what a buzz for you hicks and shame more people dont appreciate who or what tim sheridan means to the industry.

i wish id been able to stay for night but had a booking in bridgend, so left at 1am.

BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY...1 THING ID LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT I WAS SHOCKED AS FUCK TO SEE.....

A SUPERSTAR DJ...WAIT FOR IT...................PLAYING VINYL....RESPECT.

Yes fair play he was wicked, playing 12.30 till three then playing b2b with me till the bouncers practically dragged us off the decks at the end!!
You couldnt find a more genuine down to earth bloke, its a shame some of the other "big" djs didnt have their feet on the ground as much as he has.
Big up to him again for partying with us afterwards despite having to fly back to ibiza the day after!!!
Its a shame that we didnt have big numbers there, the set he played was superb, so those that didnt make the effort genuinely missed out..

dont worry about big numbers...as you say, you put in a wicked night and those who didnt attend genuinly missed out.

also just want to mention dj Bradz, well done fella, you've come along way in a short time and done an immense job warming up for tim and didnt lets nerves get the better of you when the legend came into the booth when you still had a few mixes to go.

Shame i couldnt stay guys, so cant comment on anyone else's sets, but will def be making more effort to come and support you guys...esp down in the house room as i know its hard work for you down there with most of the headliners being in the trance room.

tim was always booked to play in what we title the 'underground' room which is usually hosted in the basement of the club, upon speaking to tim in the interview it was evident that his style and preference was much more suited to remaining downstairs

bit of history for you.....collision was initally 2 seperate nights run by us guys because we enjoyed to play 2 styles. "twisted" & "underground" both were alternative fortnightly events and when the cotton club became available with 2 rooms then we decided to host both on the same night, its where the name collision originates from as i thought it was good as the 2 nights were colliding together to form one
