Everywhere.
We really needed to park out of the town center to soak up the vibe before going to Berties club. By the time we got there, we were drenched!

Narrowly avoided the obligatory football-supporter who was unable to stop himself from projecting semi-digested fast-food and copious amounts of beer.

Berites entrance. 10:22 PM.

The club is fairly quiet. This may be due in part to the fact it is still light outside and that the bars are still trying to subdue the creatures adorning red and white and cheering wildly. Still.

The Blend boys gave a fantastic performance to hype up the crowd that were there. People began to trickle in, many staying at the bar.

Not being the biggest fan of house, I was in a very negative frame of mind as to what to expect. My mindset couldn't have been any more wrong. It was party time and all the happy flowed through me as I was treated to some fine funky beats, the likes of which I have been ignoring for years.

While it's hard to get a groove on with 9tonnes of digital camera equipment strapped to you, I did put it down and treat Newquay to some fine examples of why fat men shouldn't dance!

It was clear that the Blend boys not only enjoy what they do, but like to have fun and psyche up the crowd too. nice one.

There was a mis-hearing on John Kelly's part which is going to make me admire this man forever. That's between me and him.

I dearly wished I could have stayed longer to catch John's set, it started off hot and fucky and seemed to be taking the building crowd places.
It just seemed to be lighting the place up when I had to vacate and prepare to start work.
Shame.

Be sure to get to PUSH if you are in the Newquay area of a Thursday night. Deep, funky house beats and an atmosphere that takes you by the shoulder, crudely suggests that you shed some clothes and live it up on the dancefloor.
