Yes indeed. Believe the hype. The Pure nightclub is presently taking shape on the site of the old Tall Trees venue in Newquay. Let’s face it, Tall Trees was shown no real love over the last few years. But in 2009, the Pure Group are giving the place the BIG love!

The building has been completely stripped back, parts of it have been gutted and it will be refurbed, rebuilt and reborn as… Pure. The impact will be felt as soon as people enter the front doors, with L.E.D. lighting guiding them into the venue. The first room people come to is the Funktion Room fitted, as the name suggests, with the infamous Funktion One sound system. To the left of the main stairs will be the VIP area The Island (Cosmopolitan magazine covered the Manchester Island), with luxurious beds that can be booked for the evening, a private bar and views over the club. Passing through what was originally the main room of the club, and is now the second dancefloor, you’ll find The Players Lounge, a previously unused area of the club. Beyond that lies a completely new main room of the club - The Soundshaft - featuring some very special effects allowing limitless variations in light and visuals. There are other future plans for the venue, which will include outdoor terraced areas for smokers and those that want to kick back and take in the warmth of a Cornish evening.

What we are talking about is a total re-boot of the building. All the collective expertise the new owners have running venues like Heaven and Pure Manchester have been directed into this venue and into creating a special nightclub with a beat that will resonate out across Cornwall and the South-West.

Shuttle buses will run revellers the short hop from the main Newquay strip out to Pure, and from the like of Trevelgue campsite and further afield in Cornwall, offering both the people of Newquay and holidaymakers equal chance to enjoy themselves in the sort of venue the town deserves and needs. Come the 22nd, the structure of the building will be ready… as will the quality of entertainment to fill it, from the likes of hed kandi running every Friday through the summer and other bookings of bands, DJs and PAs.
