One reason Global Gathering Shall Be Better Than Gate Crasher Is...
The red arrows, saw them last year at Global and hear there back again this year, truely amazing stuff, would have prefered to watch them rather than a few of the acts =P

Yeah what they were doing was incredible. However 15 minutes of that wasnt enough to put me in a good mood for the shambolic festival that was going on around me.

Is this thread some kind of joke?

I've heard alot of people say comments just like this about Global Gathering and i really don't get it, no one really seems to be able to put into words what the organisers could have actually done to make it any better.

No not a joke Kenners, i just think that the red arrows are one thing thats gonna make Global Gathering better than this years GateCrasher.

Although i will admit its probably the only thing thats gonna make it better, the line up for GateCrasher destroys Global Gathering in my opinion =)

We queued for 4hrs 45mins to get in in the boiling hot sunshine, when we got there the campsite than in a press release was officiall 'uneffected by the bad weather' was already knee deep in mud and water. £40 odd quid to buy a crate of beer didnt exactly change my mood into a good one. Then on the first night went down to find that half the promised arena's stages that were promised hadnt even been built in time including the contagious sound stage....then on the sat the sound levels were so low in the godskitchen tent that we could comfortably have a conversation...

Want me to go on?

Ok yeah was a bit long, but as far as the sunshine thing goes, i'd rather queue in that then the rain =).

The surrounding area had been flooded for the past 2 weeks before the fatival was due to start, that press release was utter bullshit and anyone who believed a word of it must be a bit 'slow in the head' no offence =P

All the rest of the points i agree with but, apart from the beer, most of the problems were to do with the the weather and thats in gods hands not the organisers =P

You would? I saw 4 people having to be taken away in Ambulances from heat stroke and exhaustion. My friend got totally sun burnt as well - spent the whole time in agony.

Yeah thats true i did see some people in real agony because of the heat, but its bound to happen standing in a queue for ages, me and my mates saw how long the queue was and decided we'd just start having a few drinks and sat away from the area in the car park for a few hours and just waited til the queue died down, and managed to stay out of the heat and sun.

My friend got totally sun burnt as well - spent the whole time in agony.

Suncream is always an essential festivals, everyone should know that? =)

Some people burn a lot easier than other, sun screen or not!

Global was appauling and Creamfields was ok but the sound in the tents was pathetic.. So I'd never go back to either of them!!

I find British festivals are so badly run - dutch festivals fucking rock!!
But the best UK festival I've been to is Escape into the Park and I've never been to a Gatecrasher festival so we'll see!!

Global put me off camping at festivals tho so am just doing saturday for this one... :)

They've got to be the best possible headliners for any dance festival surely?!

I wasn't impressed with Faithless at GG07 at all - Maxi's heart weren't in it. Fatboy Slim was good but I think Prodigy are gonna blow them out of the water. Well until Kanye plays GG08 that is... ha

I was gutted to miss them but from what I've heard I didnt miss much. As for Fatboy Slim I'm from Brighton so Ive had enough fatboy to last a lifetime haha - he used to sponsor my football team!

Put it this way - the only way GG are getting any hard earned cash from me is if Gatecrasher is crap. A lot of my mates feel the same. The lineup is better at Gatecrasher, lets hope the weather holds out and that Gatecrasher can do a better job at organising this than Angel did at GG07... which shouldnt be too hard...

Loving the gatecrasher arena

Damn right!

storm tent

Illogik is the only one who interests me there really, maybe Garbo & Daley but I've fallen out of love with hard dance now.
