ED KANE will be showing us how its done with his phenomenal set of pure dirt, jackin house and twisted electro...with remixes out Toolroom and Stealth and residencies at Sick on the Dancefloor @ SE1 London and If @ Bushwackers (Birmingham), this bloke really knows how to make a dancefloor weak at the knees.

1. How would you describe the your style to people who may not have heard you before?
"Filthy Jacking Electro"

2. Who are your influences, heroes and gods!?
Well Im loving The Crookers and Stupid Fresh at the moment. My Favorite DJ is Richie Hawtin. (Im a bit of techno geek too)

3. What was the first record you ever bought for dj’ing?
Oh god knows, probably something really embarrassing, I started Djing when I was 13.

4. What are your thoughts on the electro scene at the moment?
I think it was getting a bit dry for a while, but thanks to guys like Switch and Sinden there has been a bit of a change of direction, and electro is starting to sound fresh again. I for one, am definitely feeling the more jacking stuff recently.

5. Is there one tune that could religiously drop into every set you do?
I play a lot of my own records, so some of them get a lot of plays.

6. If you had to choose between dj’ing or studio productions…which one would get the boot?
Probably studio productions, but I don’t think you can keep up the gigs if you stop making tunes.

7. Whats next in store for Ed Kane? Any new releases or exciting gigs coming up?
My gig list has gone crazy this year, im going to brazil and china soon, cant wait. Also loads of big releases scheduled for the next few months too.

8. Your biggest personal highlight of your career do far?
Probably getting in the top ten in the beatport download chart.
