With two awesome nights already under its belt in 2007, Futurism intends to make it three when it completes its Northampton debut at Motion on Saturday 24th February. These two nights saw Chris Lake take the roof off the Ministry Of Sound on Saturday 20th January, swiftly followed by yet more anarchy when Futurism hosted the second room alongside Breakpoint at ClubClass’ unforgettable 10th Birthday. This night will be no different as Futurism again welcomes three of the UK’s hottest DJ talents for a night of unadulterated house, electro and breakbeat mayhem.
Headlining the night is the indomitable Micky Slim. As one of the most charismatic individuals to smash his way onto the scene in recent years, Micky’s rise in dance music over the past 12 months has been nothing short of incredible. Its no wonder with studio efforts under his belt of the calibre of ‘Wow Wow’, ‘Funk Country’ and ‘Acid Is The Bomb’ along with superb reworks of Jaydee ‘Plastic Dreams’, Calvin Harris ‘Girls’ and House of Pain ‘Jump Around’, which recently received ‘One for the weekend’ status on Radio 1. And this is all before we get to Mickys outstanding performances behind the decks which have received critical acclaim both from clubbers, fellow DJs and journalists alike and resulting in him being widely recognised as the finest DJ to come out of the midlands since Steve Lawler.
Joining Micky is the magnificent Luke Dzierzek who has cut short his global DJ commitments to be part of this colossal night. Luke needs little introduction having been responsible for producing some of the most recognisable tracks that have been heard at dancefloors across the country in recent years. And whilst Luke left Futurism earlier this year to start work on some personal projects we are delighted to welcome him back so he can showcase his trademark basslines and cutting edge electro sounds. Completing the room’s lineup is the brilliant Mark Fanciulli whose reputation continues to build off the back of his exceptional Breakpoint residency which in recent months has welcomed the likes of Lee Coombs, Elite Force, General Midi and the Drumattic Twins to the night. His Northampton debut has been long awaited and Mark will be pulling out all the stops to make sure it’s a memorable one. In the second room Ian Charles, Morroco and DJ Buck will be supplying us with original b-boy funk, breaks and old school rhythm, ensuring that the night has something for everyone. So come join us and be part of Futurism’s first trip up the M1 for 2007.
