The Wid-age....The Ben-age....BANG THE FUCK ON-AGE
Worthy of some mention has to almost certainly be "An evening with...." @ Voltz in Kettering.

Hosted by the "Bad Boys of Banging Bashes"............. It's only Wid and Ben!!!

Unsatisfied with the huge success of their first Evening, they were on top form for the second of a long string (Yes I said looooooooooong string) of nights that promises to bring the head-liners to the front-lines where they belong!!

Not only did they manage to cram in a line-up worthy of a MUCH bigger brand, but the pair also pulled off the feat of showing broad appeal with a decent mix of musical styles.

It all got going with the obligatory warm up set (provided gracefully by Kernzy + Klemenza ). It was just what the kid's asked for!!!

Vikki Ward's Set........unfortunately by this time I had said all of my hellos and was back and forth between the bar and the seating area, meaning I was too buy getting pissed to enjoy her sound. The dance floor was packed out though as all the people who I spilled my beer on will verify. It was a shame that Steve James didn't make it as judging from the sets at his recent charity bash, it would have been an awesome B2b.

Pash turned out some pretty impressive tune choice (as ever with the inside track on new productions..............git) taking the evening's progression up a step, faster than a pensioner on a stair lift.

Ingo + Colin Barrat also knocked out a fair few tracks to keep the kid's moving although it is at this point I will apologise for the piss poor review as it's dawning on me that I spent the night mostly off my face. WINNER!!!!

The Lads Themselves.....well. I can recall them playing "Blue Print" after which I’m sure I said thank you for. I did spend the hour on the dance floor; it's just that 20% of it was spent stomping, 40% waving my hands to some quality hard trance, and the rest?? I haven’t a clue!!!! A clear indication of my state of mind!!!

Andy Whitby. I really am struggling but I can say this: Standing next to the Dj booth watching him push, turn, fade, cut, delay and generally mix the shit out of whatever was in the Cdj at the time is/was one of the most mesmerising things I've ever seen.

Done in a way that keeps the big names involved and the crowd close, you can bet weeks worth of underwear it'll be a format to look out for. Keeping the event just that little bit limited and the venue more intimate, it gives your average clubber a certain sense of exclusivity.

All the more a reason to get to the next one!!!

All in??

Pretty Fucking Awesome!!
