Brett, these people give up thier spare time for free to help and assist in keeping people safe, if your kids went missing i think you may have a different judgement on these guys!!!
They do a job and to be honest, i love a bit of fun but don't you think that out the front of Next would have been a more suitable place for this event rather than blocking the exit of the mall, potentially causing a fire escape hazzard.......

Just a thought and an opinion!!!

yep u do have a point buddy just the way they went about was wrong they only went up to the small kids, they did not speak to any adults and actually watched as one officer pushed a must have been 12 year old girl out of the way. we only had 2 officers and they were both just 20 they were being bullies and it was a blatant abuse of power. I asked one officer what the problem was and he ignored me. It just felt very much so, that the article in the paper and after speaking to the reporter the stories defo conflict, just wish people could be honest. They gave no reason and said they were there to prevent trouble when they were there to move everyone on. I do realize that it is because of the fire hazard problem, why they moved people away.

I just like honesty sorry if i offended u just felt angry at the way the situation was handled. Maybe a bit more tact on my statement sorry mate.

i have suggested that we do the pams parade accross the market place up to topshop and back. We never get any bad feedback from them, just goes to show when pams does something it is done correctly.

The facebook event could have been organised a little better in hinsight. Again sorry if i offended you with my words. i dont like to upset people and feal badly that i have upset you, i am sorry, i do feal bad, never ment to offend u :-//

You haven't offended me mate, honestly!
Some people just see the bad in people and its very unlike us lot (pams family) to see the bad in anyone. We try and take a positive out look on things and just put yourself in them young officers shoes, pretty intimidating i would expect...
An old git like me with loads of experience may have handled he situation differently but they have to react to orders and deal with situations on the spot with little or no experience of dealing with this type of incident....

As you said, when pams organises something it done properly and responsibly and i have never heard this happen to any of the parades... so well done pams and the family yet again....

The british police are certainly alot better behaved than alot of places around the world, so they asked people to move on, ah well, thats their prerogative, they could have left people dancing but they didn't. It's a bit of a non-event if you ask me, they didn't go in with batons raised. Next time the silent rave will be in a more open space. Problem solved.

I wouldn't call a few people partially blocking an entrance particularly a fire hazzard, but hey, thats my opinion, I'm sure in this nanny state we live in nowadays there will be alot of people that disagree.

The UK is full of opinionated people, its a shame that words don't seem to amount to much in the UK isn't it.

Whats wrong with having an opinion? The moment people stop having an opinion and stop caring is when problems start.

Now that is my opinion shoot me down if you want.

Perhaps you confuse people 'shooting you down' with having a debate or a difference of opinion to you...

Wouldn't it be a boring world if we all agreed!

Mate, the Heath & Safety rules and regulations that exist in this country are unbelievable, nanny state is so close to the truth. You can't blow ya nose without a sign, a statement of safe use, a certificate to say your trained to do it correctly and a risk assesment to correct poor procedures....
Running a buisness like the one i do is a fooking minefield and have a guess who can be done for corparate manslaughter if i allow someone to sneeze without all the about and they have a hemorrage and die........

We genrally get back to this discussion when a newbie appears and believes we all hate each other..... lol
