i think some places just need to address the problem sooner rather than later cause if its putting regulars off going to any of there events due to the clientel they allow in there premises then thats only going to be harder for them to promote their events. i know you cant see everything or bann everyone but when you do see it soooo manytimes and hear it then bann them perminatly.

Pardon me for butting in to your thread… Is it possible that it is to do with the surge in neon clothes worn to all kinds of nights? You can buy all that stuff in places like Primark at the mo (along with the neon slitted glasses) and you have all sorts of kids wearing it. You get it at Minimal, techno, house, garage etc etc nights. Its just a fashion fad at the mo and doesn't necc. set the wearer out as a loyal hard music fan. Just a thought. I hope things can be managed for you guys.

I deffo hear you all on most of what's been said and thanks for letting me know just in case i see this girl out and about.
It's a shame scum turn up at events and some say it's part of the scene now but imo no reason for it.
I've had my fair share of idiots come in my direction in past and even recent times, stay strong Hyper Viper and try not to let one or 2 idiots change you for who you are mate.

And Asda, tesco etc. I think neon stuff is 'in' at the moment. Even the old saggy cleaner woman at school is wearing it. It does make it harder to tell apart the cyber stompers to your avarage drunk fashion follower.

I think part of the issue is traditionally hard house/hard core and other hard dance kinds of music have had fiercely loyal followers. Unlike other kinds of music where people tend to move on as the genres en vogue change. Neither is wrong. As someone who was into Funky House in 2005 and saw it being infitrated by people out to cause trouble, I have seen this many times across lots of genres. Maybe for the first time hard music is being infiltated by people who don't really understand its ethos? I hope things work out!

i have been into funky house for 14 years, apart from the odd pretty boy wearing his D&G plus sunglasses at night and the odd lass falling our in silly sized heels, i personally have never known trouble at Funky House nights i've attended (not saying it dont happen) the Girly vocals usually make sure the chav piss head idiots stay away and go to RnB/DnB/Garage and Grime nights lol

I suppose what I am getting at is if any scene goes mainstream, it is going to attract a mainstream crowd. Including beer boys and other people who would be more at home in a chrome and carpet. To me its time to move on when that happens. Having spent quite a bit of time supporting an ex at Hardcore events I'd say the Hardcore scene is much more about years of loyalty to the scene so I really hope it isn't infiltated by the mainstream.

This is so true,it's bloody annoying seeing silly little chavvy kids walking round the city wearing this stuff, even some of my neices are guilty of it and it does my head in!

every genre receives it if we are honest, most genres get there time in the charts were its becomes popular or the in fad, Trance, Hard House, electro, Funky, DnB, Garage the list is endless ALL of which have had chart success, once in the maistream most loyal followers will move on keeping it underground, Jackin House is right up my street yet it goes over soo many peeps funky ears, a bit like electro when it went mainstream tech and minimal become the underground sounds, music will keep regenrating itself, we just need to suss out a way to keep the chav idiots and trouble makers away from such events, think B.O.U.N.C.E has cracked this with ticket only inviote kind off events

Ravers Loyality Cards will be next
