This article is about B.O.U.N.C.E @ Media in Norwich (UK), Sat 28 Jun 2008
Well what can I say, well let’s start with a big thank you to everyone that attended B.O.U.N.C.E on Saturday 19th April and made it such a fun and enjoyable night. I must say that was one of the best nights I have ever had in Norwich and that was down to you lot. The atmosphere generated by you lot was second to none and it made me proud to be not only part of the Norwich dance scene but also the promoter that had managed to get you lot under one roof partying to so hard.
Long may it continue!
Right down to business, the long awaited line up for our next event, I am pleased to let you know that we have some huge up and coming stars of the future booked to play our event on 28th June.
Bumble Fl4sh Nelpin Wain Johnstone Caz Wood Project Sound
Wain Johnstone:
Wain has been djing now for just over 5 years and has been playing out for just over 2 years; he’s at present an un-signed up and coming star. After spending years clubbing and always dancing at the front, he got a pretty good feel for what makes a good dance floor. So he makes his sets high tempo, uplifting and fun because that’s what he would want to hear. He also likes to keep his mixing early and interesting because nobody likes being stood there saying 'when the next tune going to kick in?' And he does all this with a smile on his face because he will only play tunes that he absolutely loves!
Caz Wood:
Caz would describe her mixing as fast paced, energetic and never boring! She is not afraid to chop, backspin and throw in her mixes, something that the dj’s she has followed over the years have inspired her to do. Rob Tissera, Lisa Pin Up and Andy Whitby she states to be her biggest influences, with their big bass swaps, driving baselines and happy hard dance tunes. Caz’s style of mixing has evolved as a result of intently following the scene and maintaining her passion and enthusiasm for the music. You will find all Caz Wood’s sets consist of bouncy tunes with big vocals and powerful riffs, with some hardness and hard trance thrown in here and there! With great producers and labels including Technikal, Paul F, Kye Shand, Leigh Green, AWsum, Adrenaline Dept, Audio Hedz and more her sets are fun and exciting!!
Project Sound:
Are two dj friends (David and Sean) from Wales, they are young and quite new to the Bounce scene, Project Sound used to play Hardstyle but have in recent times seen the light and converted to playing bouncy hard house. They have already stacked up a healthy amount of sets at events such as Audio Deprevation, Stimulate, Inferno and Tranzaction. They have just recently been given their first residency at TranceFusion which is a regular event held at the famous Cotton Club in Newport.
Along with our regular B.O.U.N.C.E residents Nelpin & Fl4sh, we also have a local DJ not many of you may have yet heard of unless you were partial to the odd outdoor event. Bumble (Steve) is know to many of the local dance fraternity as he’s almost every local event and he’s always up for a party but not many know that he also DJ’s me included until recently. Steve has graced the decks of many outdoor events so we thought it only right to give the man a set inside. He’s getting far to old for all that chasing around fields at silly o’clock in the mornings in the cold so good luck old fella.
