RADI8 @ MUSTARD

May 2005 saw the birth of East Anglia’s finest underground dance event ‘Radi8’, bringing a new sound & concept to the local music scene. Radi8 is primarily a trance night, but offers a fusion of electro, techno & progressive house alongside its infectious peak time sound.

To celebrate two years of promotion, Radi8 will be making its debut in its new home ‘Mustard lounge’; A venue which is renowned for its popularity with underground dance music fanatics in and around East Anglia. Its unique, intimate & bold design make it an idyllic venue for the clubbers of radi8. With two floors it gives Radi8 the scope to offer all it can.
This celebration takes place on Thursday 24th May and will be just a small taste of things to come from Radi8 in the near future. The main room (upstairs) will always be focused on peak time electro, techno, progressive house & trance. Downstairs will offer the alternative sounds of breaks, minimal techno & tech house.

You can expect to see the likes of Radi8 guest resident ‘John Charles’ headlining this special event. John is known for his superb tune selection and the energy he delivers every set. On the 24th he will be joined by Phunky’s main resident ‘Paul Cossey’; making his official Radi8 debut in the form of their special back to back set. You can anticipate plenty of electro, pounding prog & techno edged sounds played in dance floor destroying fashion from these two.

In addition to John & Paul, ‘Burt’ will be warming things up in the main room. Burt has held his residency and been part of the team since the first Radi8. He is known for his remarkable cross-over style of breaks, electro & techno, combined with a flawless mixing ability. Expect to see a lot more from this remarkable talent in the future.
At the peak of the night Radi8’s head honcho’s ‘Jumby & Scotty.A’ will be delivering an exceptional 3 hour set. Recognized for their inspired sense of direction, which builds atmosphere & electricity for any audience. You can look forward to seeing out the final hours of the event to pumping progressive baselines & melodic vibes, which is the true sound of Radi8!

Downstairs will witness Radi8 favourite Neil Holmes, who will be getting the party started at 8pm with his sound of weird & wonderful minimal breaks and techno sounds. Neil will be followed by ‘Burt’, who will be playing his second set of the night taking things from on from minimal & breaks. Also, downstairs making his Radi8 debut will be up & coming breaks, electro & tech-house DJ, Synthetic Tripster of Trepidation Records.
To complete the line up downstairs is Von House's 'Louis Guerrero', a DJ that hasn't quite had the exposure he deserves of late, but will be making his third appearance at Radi8. This will be a ‘farewell’ set from Louis as it will be one of his last performances in Norwich, before he moves on to pastures new.

This is just the start of things to come from Radi8 in the Mustard Lounge, you can anticipate bolder events & more unique line ups. So make sure you get yourself down to Mustard on the 24th and witness the captivating power of radi8. For all event details click here!
