David James (No before you ask not the dodgy goalkeeper) but the DJ / Producer who officially arrived in club land with the release of his monster hit (Always) A Permanent State, on Hooj Choons back in 2000.

Far from being an overnight success though David has been DJ'ing for 20 years cutting his teeth as early as 15 at Essex Blues parties spinning hip hop, soul and reggae, then moving to East Anglia in 88 and djing at the early warehouse scene in Norwich & Cambridge gaining him many fans across the country and picking up a residency at the legendary ECLIPSE parties in Cambridge along side good friend Lee Coombs.

Moving back down to London in 95 David finally fulfilled his dream of getting into the music industry and has been producing music for the last 10 years as part of Supakings and Alaska Soul with Mark Yardley (now of Stanton Warriors) after the pair met in a studio in Camden & have remained best of friends ever since. But It was as one half of the Production and DJ duo Audio Drive, when things really took off and their success really opened doors for David, helping him to further his solo DJ'ing success, and taking him around the world playing the opening of SPACE -Ibiza 2 years running and guest spots in Milan / Dubai / Australia & Poland - but never forgetting his London roots with several residencies inc the Retreat & the superb DRAMA.

David is currently working for PDD London's premier House music Distributor. You can catch David spinning @ Dirty Skankin' Sounds @ Kinky Mambo, Islington every 3rd Sat & at various other spots around London. Back in the studio.. Watchout for James & Neilson - What wud we do - Deep Square remix!!
